One of my hosts just rebooted for the first time in ages, and now it won't connect to any other nodes. Is it possible to a configure a tinc (1.0.35) node to only send outbound through specific nodes, rather than trying to establish direct connections? I have a node which can connect to all the others directly, but some routes have terrible packet loss, so I'd like to configure it not to try. thansk Hamish

Currently I have the local tinc node's VPN IP in both the tinc-up script as well as in its hosts/$NODE file Subnet setting. Can this be avoided, to simplify deployment? Would just switching to switch mode makes things easier or that's not related? I have about 15 nodes running 1.1pre15 connected and running quite well. I don't remember why I installed 1.1preX originally. Possibly because I added a router with custom firmware to the network (Tomato Shibby firmware for my ASUS router) which included 1.1pre14. Has anyone managed or tried to get this software working on a Linux box? I have Lotus notes running and the initial connection window for Proxy opens fine but the following error message appears when I try to connect to the Proxy Host. After your pointers I was able to get a little further on with my problem. I installed the software on a Win95 machine to get the DLL's that I needed and the original error message has gone. I can start the program, look at preferences but when I try to connect to another machine there appears to be a problem opening the prxgpxv.vxd file and the connection fails to open..
