two firewall and shorewall
Hi, in my lan I have two firewall, fw1 is the first and manage inte-vlan routing. Fw2 manage internet and dmz. fw1 and fw2 have an interface (eth4 for both fw2 and fw1) on the same subnet that permit to the host behind fw1 to reach internet, my problem is on fw2: eth4 is the NIC that connect fw2 and fw1, I would''t like masquerading hosts behind fw1, so to eth4 of fw2 arrive all

Samba user Modify passwords on Windows 2003 Enterprise
Hi I have installed a Samba/Openldap serveur for my domain. All user under Windows XP can modify their password and all user under Linux can also modiy their password. But all user on Windows 2003 serveur (with TSE) can't modify password, the messages is the serveur can't find my domain. thank for your help

uids/guids differ on new debian server
...hats a problem because of the network shares (different permissions now). Copied the data with rsync which kept the numeric ids of the permissions. The new Server gives: userx:*:15627:10513:user, x:/home/DOMAIN/userx:/bin/false Ofcourse many other users face the same problem. getent passwd problem (please it's quite URGENT)
...i give [root@fileserver bin]# getent passwd RAHEJA.COM+subbu RAHEJA.COM+subbu:x:10000:10000:subbu:/home/subbu:/bin/false /home/subbu not created... i am not able to access the shares... herewith i am attaching my smb.conf and krb.conf and nsswitch.conf What may be going wrong?
