[Advice] CentOS6 + KVM + bonding + bridging
...[0] [1] - I switched the mode to balance-tlb (mode5) and hosts are now reachable. See bottom of [0] for a note on "known ARP problem for bridge on a bonded interface". I'd prefer mode5 or 6 since it would balance between my slave interfaces and need not worry about 802.3ad support (mode4) on the switch this host will be connected to. But the way it seems mode 6 isn't going to work out for me. (Maybe experimenting with mode4 is the way to go.) PESQ calculated MoS-Values for Speex
...": "-w --comp 10 --quality 10 --bitrate 96000" *Speex Results (this is where it starts to be weird):* mode 2: Mos Values from *2.541* to *3.211* (parameter +8000 in pesq) mode 4: Mos Values from *2.045* to *3.355* (parameter +16000 in pesq) I tried to get better values, at least in mode4, for like 2 hours, but I did not get something that corresponds to this: http://speex.org/comparison/nb_codecs_small.png (Speex.org Website). The fact, that a bitrate of like 25kbit/s results in a score of nearly 4,5 is confusing me like hell. (compared to my results) First thing I tried was just...

PESQ calculated MoS-Values for Speex
...nd do not necessarily reflect those of the Library of Congress, NLS. From: Oliver Martin [mailto:scholl3ss93 at gmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2013 2:04 PM To: Rasmussen, Lloyd Subject: Re: [Speex-dev] PESQ calculated MoS-Values for Speex Thanks for your fast answer Lloyd. I would rate mode4 of speex with 4 and mode2 with 4. (MoS) I can't hear a huge difference between both, except that mode4 files have more bass-parts (I guess because they are wideband encoded). I recorded the files on a RME RayDat with 48kHz per second and sampled it down with cubase (at the export). I'm not...

Rapid transfers cause kernel panic
...128Mb RAM the NIC is a LiteON 10/100Mbps board (Linksys) This board sits on a 100Mbps switched ethernet and operates in full duplex. (it's a quick network) Although I can't imagine the disks being a problem, here's the disk layout: Primary (hda1) is at 25% usage and is a 1.6Gb WD PIO Mode4 drive (/) Secondary (hdb1) is at 4% usage and is a 1Gb WD PIO Mode3 drive (/home) Tertiary (hdc1) is at 46% usage and is a 1.2Gb WD PIO Mode4 drive (/usr) There aren't any shares on those drives though (other than the "home" directories - here is the SCSI subsystem: Softraid /dev/md...
