Bonding modes
I have a bonded interface running in mode 1 which is active/passive and no
issue with this. I need to change it to mode 0 for active/active setup. Does
mode 0 is dependent on the switches configuration? My setup is: 2 links from
bonded interface is connected to different switches.
When I change to mode0 from mode1 , bond0 is not coming up.
These are the steps I performed
1) changed to options bond0 mode=0 miimon=100 from options bond0 mode=0
miimon=100
2) modprobe bonding
3) service network restart
Thanks !
Paras.

iSCSI domU - introducing more stability
...n the target and do a fsck before starting domU again.
This occurred on a 16 core machine, having only about 14 domUs running. Spare memory has been occupied by dom0 (about 40G). Each domU has it''s own iSCSI target.
iSCSI is initiated by open-iscsi via a quad port e1000e w/ offloading and mode0 bonding (this has recently been changed from 802.3ad to round-robin as the switch manuel advices not to use LACP if possible..., however) .
Dom0 is Debian Lenny amd64 (out of the box - setup)
Any ideas how to avoid iSCSI dead locking? I *assume* it''s caused by CPU saturation, as the load...

How many guests
Hi Everyone,
I have a Dell R210 server which has a Xeon X3430 Quad Core CPU (2.4Ghz x
4) with 8GB of RAM. I intend to use the H200 controller in a RAID1 setup
How many VMs do you think I''d be able to run on this machine? Is 20
pushing it?
I''d say most (if not all) guests would be in PV mode.
Thanks
