Changing Python Version
Hi;
I am trying to change the default version of python on my centos 5.7 box and leave the old installation. Frustrated by not finding any help online, I went ahead and installed Python 2.6 from the source. It appears to be my default, but when I fire up mod_wsgi, it complains that it can't import os. Please advise.
TIA,
Quincey?

Regarding the setup with uWSGI + NGINX, the Django documentation "How to
use Django with Apache and mod_wsgi"? is excellent:

There is also a similar setup for NGINX on readthedocs (which I assume
will also work):

Use EPEL without redirection ?
Hi,
Is there any way to deactivate the redirection to a mirror when using
the third-party EPEL repository ?
Our network uses a transparent HTTP/HTTPS proxy with a local AC. We can
create exceptions for sites like centos.org or
download.fedoraproject.org, but whenever we want to install a package
from EPEL, the mirror redirection causes an error due to redirection.
Any suggestions ?

I definitely wouldn't make it the default python, but I have made it the
default for a particular user as long as they are not root.
In the past I have got python27-mod_wsgi and httpd24-httpd working together
by doing things like httpd24-httpd by doing things like
cat /opt/rh/httpd24/root/etc/sysconfig/httpd
export PATH=/opt/rh/python27/root/usr/bin:$PATH
export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/rh/python27/root/usr/lib64${LD_LIBRARY_PATH:+:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}}

...oing this.
So then you need to do a curl -i to the baseurl (change $basearch to either
i386 or x86_64) to see where it is redirecting you. For example:
$ curl -i http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/i386

I started it with an strace but I cant find anything that looks suspicious ...
Putting selinux into permissive mode starts the server right from boot.
Looking at all the logs I cannot see anything.
Any ideas?...
