I had rsync working fine to make offsite backups via an IPSEC VPN
over an ADSL connection - until the remote raid5 server went down. It was
rebuilt
with RedHat 8 and since then I have not been able to rsync to it. Both ends
have vanilla rsync-2.5.5 installed. Machine "moby" is the remote (i.e
destination)
and "core" is the local (source) machine on RedHat 7.3 - eventually I will
sync the
entire filesystem of core to moby::/home/nexnix as we did before.
The gory details:-

...rom Matt Jockers and it worked!
I missed something.
How can I now see(display) this list?
Hi Riann,
There are a couple of ways that you could do this. . . the best
approach would probably be to use *grep* instead of *which*, but let me
show you both ways.
On page 30, replace
whales.v <- which(moby.word.v == *whale*)
with
whale_words <- c(*whale", *whales", *whale's", *whaler", *whalers",
*whaling")
whales.v <- which(moby.word.v %in% whale_words)
the alternative (better) way to do this, with grep, looks like this
whales.v <- grep(*^whal.*",...

Odd Samba/btrfs AD member server problem
...ifications for userX ('domain\userX') still fail.
Same testing, with almost identical smb.conf and other settings, works
just fine on a opensuse 13.1 machine with ext4 running
samba-4.1.14-3.2.i586
Any ideas or help in resolving the failure on opensuse 13.2 are much
appreciated.

Samba 4.2X as a member server in ActiveDirectory functional level 2016 domain
Can Samba 4.2.X work as a member server in a Windows server 2016
activedirectory domain? I am using Samba member servers in Windows
2012R2 domain and would like to know if I can upgrade the domain to
functional level server 2016 without breaking Samba.
Thank you in advance for any help,

Working cludge [Re: SSOAP fails with .types[[1]] : subscript out of bounds]
...I created a local copy and inserted a dummy
<wsdl:types>...</wsdl:types> element.
Then, my simple snippet works:
library(SSOAP)
# Hacked local copy
w = processWSDL("./MassBank_Instruments")
# this breaks genSOAPClientInterface()
w = processWSDL("http://biomoby.org/services/wsdl/ipb-halle.de/MassBank_Instruments")
mobyRequest <- "<moby:MOBY xmlns:moby=\"http://www.biomoby.org/moby\"/>"
iface = genSOAPClientInterface(def = w, verbose=TRUE)
cat(iface at functions$MassBank_Instruments(mobyRequest))
Hope that helped,...

[LLVMdev] dynamic data dependence extraction using llvm
Hi mobi,
Sorry, I am new to clang AST and can not get the point you mentioned. :-(
What I try to do is develop a tool that can analyze data dependence at
runtime. Therefore, I need to analyze trace containing memory accessing
information (eg. arrays within loops). To do that, I first instrument a
recording function to get addresses of load/store instructions. However,

Help with active directory integration

I have followed the docs on samba.org and I am on the last step which is to run net rpc rights grant 'SAMDOM\Domain Admins' SeDiskOperatorPrivilege -U'SAMDOM\administrator'
but it fails with an access denied error.
So my question is:

Error when upgrading to samba 3.0.25b: NT_STATUS_OBJECT_PATH_NOT_FOUND
Hi,
I just upgraded from:
samba-3.0.23d-1
to:
samba-3.0.25b-3
After starting samba, I could no longer connect to any share, I get this
error:
NT_STATUS_OBJECT_PATH_NOT_FOUND
I builded both samba rpm using the packaging/RHEL/makerpms.sh script
on Centos 4.5
Is there any big change in 3.0.25? I readed all releases notes and
didn't found
any cause for this error.
Thanks

Testing that named_scope is defined
Hi guys,
I''m just beginning to use RSpec and I ran into the issue of testing a
named_scope. I''m not actually trying to test its behavior, as it''s not
my code, but I wanted to test at least that it''s defined. I tried
doing this:
describe Post, ".most_recent" do
it "should be defined" do
Post.method_defined?(:most_recent).should be_true
