Hi all, I know Asterisk is able to send a waiting message (audio) to people trying to call a busy user agent using a queue. However, I'd like to change this audio message to a text message to be able to print it on screen on the other end. Is it possible to configure Asterisk to have text message sent ? List, We're working on an upcoming job that may require us to access a web service (WS). I'm curious to hear peoples thoughts on the best way to do this with asterisk. We'll be submitting a single number to the WS and it will return a success or error. One solution would be to write a simple perl script to interface into to the WS, and use SYSTEM() from asterisk to call it.

Anyone using Asterisk in a Call Center environment? And more importantly is anyone supporting home based remote call center agents with an Asterisk backend? My experience with Asterisk is limited, however I have set it up and installed it previously and had it working for home usage and for simply playing around. My background however is with Cisco CallManager, Cisco IPCCX for call centers as
