CentOS 8 apcupsd or nut and duplicity
Hello Again, Is there any update on nut or apcupsd for CentOS 8? Also, I noticed that duplicity is not currently available for CentOS 8. I got the Fedora 30 SRPM for duplicity to build on CentOS, but ran into a dependency issue and cannot find python-devel. Any suggestions on alternatives or how to get duplicity going on CentOS 8? Cheers, Ian P.

change network settings of VM depending on logged in user(s)?

I don?t know if I can get a VM to hibernate when idle and to wake up when someone tries to connect; and delying logins as mmight occur when the VM needs to wake up first is not an option. Besides, internet access would not be denied at all and only not used when the VM is hibernating. > For your message, to disallow an user to have internet access that can be done via his account profile at local security from Microsoft...

Working with temporal data
Hi, I have several files with data in this format: 20070102 20070102 20070106 20070201 ... The data is sorted and each line represents a date (YYYYMMDD). I would like to analyze this data using R. For instance, I would like to have a histogram by year, month or day. I've already made a simple Perl script that aggregates this data but I believe that R can be much more powerful and easy on

So far, I?ve only found information regarding blocking access for particular users. I want it the other way round, i. e. the whole maching usually not having access and allowing access to only a particular user. Allowing access

[RFC PATCH] Exporting ACPI Pxx/Cxx states to other kernel subsystems (v1).
Hello, The following patches are a solution to a problem we have encountered when using the Xen hypervisor: - Need Pxx/Cxx states to save on power consumption when using Xen (we do want those datacenters to consume less power!), - Also need to figure out the Turbo mode so that the scheduler can properly boost a core for CPU bound guests. In essence the Xen hypervisor requires that
