how to realize "MLPPP LFI"
...e bandwidth and control traffic.I must realize these two tricky functions in mips linux(kernel 2.4.17):
1.The device MUST support the capability to fragment AF and BE traffic in order to constrain the perturbing impact of AF and BE packets on EF traffic delay, for example using a mechanism such as MLPPP LFI.(RFC1990)
2. The packet size threshold before fragmenting AF and BE packets MUST be configurable.
I am completely stunned.I think these functions are about qos,and I heard that Cisco realize MLPPP LFI in its qos function.
Would anyone please supply some suggestion?Thank you very much!...

Re: Re: how to realize "MLPPP LFI" on linux
Hi,Andy
Thank your very much!
For the MLPPP LFI,I found that in Cisco configuration,it use "ppp multilink;ppp multilink fragmentation;ppp multilink fragment-delay 20;ppp multilink interleave " command to enable MLPPP LFI.So I think just realizing the same function on my linux router would be fine. But I got no idea how to do this on...

most of the times is to use TCP .
but yet they do shape the session , but if use multiple servers , then
everything would get fine and i get much better througput.
so what i think is possible to do is to achieve some results like MLPPP .
what I have in mind is something like this:

How to bond pppoe links
I have three ADSL lines that I''d like to use as one big pipe to the
internet. The ADSL service works by establishing a pppoe connection (the
ADSL "modem" is a bridge), and each pppoe interface gets its own IP
address.
This means I''d have to have 4 ethernet interfaces (3 for each
of the ADSL modems and 1 for the LAN) in my gateway. I''d setup the
gateway to NAT

ADSL Load Balancing
Hi,
I've got a client with two ADSL connections for redundancy.
Is it possible to set up asterisk to connect to one SIP provider using both adsl connections and load balance between the two connections?
Or to use one connection as the main one, and automatically fail over if the first connection drops?
Or does this kind of thing need a serious network switch?
Thanks
Dan

These guys talking about using USB modems , some researching says your
ISP must support MLPPP ,
Anyone with any expierencing bonding adsl modems with a standard
kernel and distro?
Most nix''s come with RP-PPPOE, will this work?
Thanks

PRI dead in USA?
Hi-
Because a majority of my customers are in Europe, I've gotten quite used to
working with ISDN (PRI) and BRI on a regular basis. Recently one of my
customers asked me if I could terminate a few lines locally here in the USA
(California), so I called up SBC to enquire as to how much it would cost to
install a BRI here.
Although the rates were reasonable (except the installation), I got
