[PATCH 0/2] Add mkfs-opts API with optional arguments
...cksize argument, thus mimicking what you can already do with 'mkfs-b'. But this change will allow us in future to encode much of the rest of the /sbin/mkfs command line. Here is how it works from guestfish (with verbose & trace): ><fs> mkfs-opts ext2 /dev/vda1 blocksize:1024 mkfs_opts "ext2" "/dev/vda1" "blocksize:1024"send_to_daemon: 0x2393bc0 g->state = 3, n = 72 proc 210 (part_disk) took 0.18 seconds recv_from_daemon: 0x2393bc0 g->state = 3, size_rtn = 0x7fffd24c565c, buf_rtn = 0x7fffd24c5650 mkfs -t ext2 -b 1024 /dev/vda1 mke2fs 1.41.12 (...

[PATCH] New API: ufs-growfs to grow UFS filesystems.
This simple patch adds support for the BSD "growfs" command, so you can grow BSD filesystems [in theory -- see below]. It also adds a new optional group called "ufsutils" which indicates if the libguestfs API supports the guestfs_ufs_growfs call, since it's not available on Fedora. (http://libguestfs.org/guestfs.3.html#availability) I tested this on Debian, and although

[PATCH 0/6] Allow non-optargs functions to gain optional arguments.
This rather complex set of patches allow non-optargs functions to gain optional arguments, while preserving source and binary backwards compatibility. The problem is that we cannot add an optional argument to an existing function. For example, we might want to add flags to the 'lvresize' API which currently has no optional arguments.

[PATCH 0/8] Add MD inspection support to libguestfs
This series fixes inspection in the case that fstab contains references to md devices. I've made a few changes since the previous posting, which I've summarised below. [PATCH 1/8] build: Create an MD variant of the dummy Fedora image I've double checked that no timestamp is required in the Makefile. The script will not run a second time to build fedora-md2.img. [PATCH 0/2] Fix btrfs blocksize and bind mkfs.btrfs (RHBZ#807905).
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807905 Currently if you specify the blocksize parameter to mkfs-opts with a btrfs filesystem, then it fails, because mkfs.btrfs interprets the -b option as meaning filesystem size. The first patch fixes this by disallowing blocksize (it cannot be mapped meaningfully into btrfs parameters). The second patch adds the full /sbin/mkfs.btrfs utility to the

[PATCH 0/4] Add various ntfs* tools and unify label setting.
This miscellaneous patch adds bindings for: - ntfsfix - ntfsclone - ntfslabel and unifies filesystem label setting through a single API 'set-label' which replaces 'set-e2label' and is also able to set labels on NTFS using the ntfslabel program. 'ntfsfix' has been added as a possible way to fix RHBZ#797760. However I have not found a way to fully fix this bug. See

[PATCH 0/7 v2] Fix and workaround for qcow2 issues in qemu causing data corruption.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=836710 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=836913 There are at least two related bugs going on: (1) Linux sync(2) system call doesn't send a write barrier to the disk, so in effect it doesn't force the hard disk to flush its cache. libguestfs used sync(2) to force changes to disk. We didn't expect that qemu was caching anything

[PATCH v3] New APIs: mount-local, mount-local-run and umount-local using FUSE
This changes the proposed API slightly. Previously 'mount-local' generating a 'mounted' event when the filesystem was ready, and from the 'mounted' event you had to effectively do a fork. Now, 'mount-local' just initializes the mountpoint and you have to call 'mount-local-run' to enter the FUSE main loop. Between these calls you can do a fork or whatever

[PATCH 0/4 v1] Remove gettextify, implement OCaml gettext.
Version 1 of the patch, for discussion, but not to be applied. It does work, but needs a lot more testing. This removes all the psychopathic gettextify cruft, and replaces it with a 99 line Makefile.am. A large win, I think. The third patch implements gettext support in the OCaml tools. The fourth patch is just for illustration. It shows the consequent changes to libguestfs.pot and the po
