deprecations leading up to C8

Sorry, I am mistaken. I looked at the epel package list and saw "sendemail" and mistook it for "sendmail". I imagine that someone will end up building sendmail for el8, though. Peter

Should intrinsics llvm.eh.sjlj.setjmp be with isBarrier flag?
Hi, I meet an issue when I verify machineinstrs for Powerpc testcases in llvm. llc -mtriple=powerpc64-unknown-linux-gnu < llvm/llvm/test/CodeGen/PowerPC/sj-ctr-loop.ll -verify-machineinstrs Bad machine code: MBB exits via unconditional fall-through but ends with a barrier instruction! *** function: main basic block: %bb.2 for.body.lr.ph (0x100275437e8) Content in block BB.2:

how do I make my headset work
How do I make my headset work. Before I try it with anything else, I'd like to make it work with arecord and aplay. VLC and movie player can make sounds with my external speakers. though not in my headset yet. I've got an insignia NS-PAH5101 headset. As directed, the red connector is in the pink spot and the green connector in green spot in the back of my computer. arecord folloed by aplay

Unreliable ZFS backups or....
I looked into backing up ZFS and quite honostly I can''t say I am convinced about its usefullness here when compared to the traditional ufsdump/restore. While snapshots are nice they can never substitute offline backups. And although you can keep quite some snapshots lying about it will consume diskspace, one of the reasons why people also keep offline backups. However, while you can make

Modify objects in function
Dear R community, I do know, that an R function is constructing a copy of any object passed as argument into a function. I program on a larger S4 project for a package, and I arrived at a point where I have to think a little harder on implementation style (especially to spare users complex object handling). I have a function foo(), taking as input arguments two S4 objects of different class

Using Libfuzzer on a library - linking the library to the fuzz target
...grep and can't find anything that would match "apifunc() resp=0x7ff38f83ac20 uninitialized, fixing it." in libFuzzer (or compiler-rt). What version of compiler-rt/llvm/clang are you trying this with? - This was an oversight on my part, it was a log dump from the library and somehow I mistook it be from libfuzzer. (I am using Clang 9 btw). 4. Have you tried visualising the coverage <https://github.com/google/fuzzing/blob/master/tutorial/libFuzzerTutorial.md#visualizing-coverage> that the fuzz target is generating? It may give you an insight as to why your desired function under te...

Actually, I mistook black for green. Green was occupied by my external speakers. Putting the headset's green plug in the green spot lets VLC and aplay make sounds in my headset. Logging updated files?
Hello - I've been doing some experimenting this morning with logging and can't seem to get exactly what I'm looking for. What I'd like, is to be able to get a listing of all files that changed on the local side and that were updated to the remote side via rsync. The literal data info tells me how many bytes were transferred total, but I'd like to get the break down per file,

How to mount ext3 root partition with noatime and ro options at boot-time
Hi all, I was trying to mount root-partition which is ext3 partition with noatime and ro option. I included "ro" in the kernel command line But for mounting it with "noatime" option when I searched for some solution I came across a patch http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/8/5/38 But after applying this patch and including option "noatime" in

Another NEWBIE
Hi, I'm a very fresh newbie to R. My first main question is, what the limitations of R are, what methods can R NOT do, esp. compared to (a) SPSS and (b) SAS? The second question is, how do you handle the data entry, data management and data manipulation in R, to me it seems to be really complicated and confusing?! Are there a kind of "helping tools"? The third question: are

Date magic?
Hi. When I read Dave and Davids excellent book "Agile Web Development with Rails" the first time, I was particularly impressed with the following statement: 1.day.from_now It was used in a test class to set the date of tomorrow dynamically. Since it was enclosed in in ERb tags, I assumed this was a normal ruby statement, but when I tried it in my irb, i get the following error:
