Misterious Yum install Error: "package ... is reduced"
Hi, Here is a newbie to Yum on Centos 5. I got an interesting yet misterious problem here. When I rolled a mod_jk package and tried to install it onto a bunch of Centos 5 boxes with comand 'yum -e 10 -d 10 install mod_jk', it fails with the messages at end; and so mod_jk just ended up ignored. Hi samba gurus, A samba connection between a RedHat 9 and a win2000 is given, where mount -a sometimes (sometimes - i couldn't notice any order in that) dies completely. If it is during the boot process, the whole boot process stops without any further error message or anything. Misterious hang
Hi all, Recently one my Centos 5.7 VM just crashes at least once a day randomly (hang). In /var/log/messages there is nothing at all that there is problem (no error, no failure). The log just stops. The only change I did before this crashes is I activated LDAP authentication, and also auditd. But I don't see any evidence relating to it. Any clue where to look for the cause? Thank you.

bug, feature of mistery?
I have two machines a linux_amd64_x86 (gentoo_amd64) and a linux_x86. Both run R-2.1.0. I have a very long program (hopefully will become a package) that works perfectly on the linux_amd_x64. Great means no error, no problems and results that, where the analytic solution exists, coincide with it. I have problem making the code run on the x64 machine. I am baffled. Samba 3.0 PDC + XP + roaming profile = big, strange mistery of sorts
Please bear with me as this is quite a complicated problem which has eluded me for days now... I recently upgraded a Samba 2.2 PDC to Samba 3.0 [3.0.20a as of now]. After upgrading, I had problems with two XP machines, among 16 of them. One of them didn't validate the domain users correctly. That was immediately taken care of by having said machine leave and re-join the domain. Nothing

bootloader installed at wrong place during install

How to configure a stun server for a sip peer

[Bridge] Strange DHCP behaviour with bridging
