KVM management through the web with libvirt and mist.io
Hi, I would like to announce that we have integrated libvirt for managing KVM vms on mist.io. Mist.io is an open source project and a service that can assist you in managing your vms on a unified way, providing a simple interface for all of your infrastructure (multiple public cloud providers, OpenStack based public/private clouds, Docker servers, bare metal servers and now KVM hypervis...

Samba4 Parameter Settings
Hello, is there a possibility to dump all parameters Samba is configured to run? I mean all parameters including defaults, not only those in smb.conf. I'm just interested because possibly I would modify some parameters due to security, performance, etc. Regards

Managing VMs across multiple physical hosts
Hello List, We’re currently managing VMs across approximately 26 physical hosts. We tend to migrate VMs around a lot to do things like spread load and keep VMs running when physical hosts are in need of package updates. Suffice it to say sometimes finding out which physical host a VM is currently running on can be a pain. Anyone know of an open source tool that will give me a snapshot of

Tinc OSPF involving bridge

And if so, is it also possible over a bridged connection which has no external IP address (by specifying the interface in the config file)? I realise there are other ways to do this, but I'm hoping th...

solving for a 2D transformation matrix
...a22 = scale * cos(theta) a31 = 0 a31 = 0 a33 = 1 w' = 1 w = 1 Can anyone give me a pointer on how to go about solving for the transformation matrix given a set of points, where x,y and x',y' are available? I sense the presence a solution lingering in the murky mists, (some kind of least squares?) but I am not sure what it is or how to go about it exactly. Any api (agi/ari/ami) equivalent of "core show calls"?
Way back in the mists of time, I built my asterisk installation with SNMP support. It's a bit tedious to get the sub-agent for snmpd set up but once you have it you can poll the OID for the asterisk sub-agent and it will tell you how many calls are up at that moment in time. That said, I actually prefer ARA/ARI...
