Fw: linksys rt31p2 test case
...ip addresses of the routers in that subnet.
When i plug the routers in the switch through their internet port, i cannot even ping them.
Is this normal behaviour? Are these routers only supposed to work with a dsl/cable modem attached to that "internet" port?
I'm sure that i have not miscofigured the switch since i had a cisco expert take care of that.

Security question for newbie
Hi,
I am using Samba version 3.051 in an Active Directory setting with Windows 2000 server.
Everything is working rather well with regards to file-sharing and authentication.
However, the one thing that I noticed that I haven't been able to fix quickly with SWAT is the prevention of browsing the Linux file-system with users such as 'nobody' or 'bin'.

disk I/O problems with LSI Logic RAID controller
we're having a weird disk I/O problem on a 5.4 server connected to an external SAS storage with an LSI logic megaraid sas 1078.
The server is used as a samba file server.
Every time we try to copy some large file to the storage-based file system, the disk utilization see-saws up to 100% to several seconds of inactivity, to climb up again to 100% and so forth.
