Package not on CRAN mirrow - what now?
Package arulesSequences isn't on CRAN for automatic package install. I downloaded a *.tar.qz version because no *.zip for Windows offered. Why is this? I expanded *.tar.qz in ~R/R-2.11.0/library/arulesSequences I then assumed that R would list it in the packages list but it doesn't. What am I doing wrong ? Regards

Simple backup of maildir folder
...his new server? Do I need to setup user by user, or even install postfix (that's where my users are configured) to get it all backed up? I tried to install dovecot and running doveadm backup, but it complains the users are not there. - What's the simplest way to configure dovecot without mirrowing my server so that this can work? Best, Francis --- Francis Augusto Medeiros-Logeay Oslo, Norway

FW: Newbie Help
...That's how I did it, and it is maddening and worse, very time consuming. The important thing is not to keep hitting your head against the brick wall over and over. So, what to do. First, I would join a linux email support group. I belong to a very good one. This is the address of one of its mirrow sites: http://linux-sxs.org/index2.html The address below is where to sign up for the email list. http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Be prepared to help as well as get help. This is all free and voluntary. Second, about that documentation. Have you started from stratch, bought a lin...

DO NOT REPLY [Bug 4128] New: ignore-times with link-dest behaves unexpected / sematics not clear
...he conclusion is wrong and the long description in the manpage missleading. --ignore-times simply does what is says: it ignores time stamps. However, the consequences when used with other options should be reasonable, or at least be documented. Motivation of combining these options: Machine B is a mirrow of machine A. Unfortunately, machine A turned out to have had a hardware defect that causes sporadic read errors. Files on B are likely to be damaged. Files on A might also be permanently damaged. For further analysis, I'd like to have all files on B. Without --link-dest, I don't have enoug...

Full_Name: Jarno Tuimala Version: 2.3.1 OS: Solaris / Linux Submission from: (NULL) (193.166.2.98) Today I downloaded the latest source code release R-2.3.1.tar.gz, and it seems not to contain the VR bundle. After running ./configure I get the following error message: checking for recommended packages... ./src/library/Recommended/VR_*.tar.gz: No such file or directory no configure: error: Some
