Because I currently don't "trust" compiz-packages on Ubuntu EdgyEft I have it install upstream to /home/mirco/compiz. ...I'll dive into it as soon as I can. The problem really is related in the "--delete..." parameter which is exactly doing what the manual of rsync describes perfectly. I have no idea how to fix it at the moment, but if you have more clues I'd appreciate your opinion. Sofar I was not able to revert to a state identifying which commit introduced this flaw. This is happening to me on an i915 and a GeForce7900GT. Using git revert <some commit> is the right way to work oneself
