hi all, on centos 5 - I could trim the number of mingetty's running by editing /etc/inittab on centos 6 there are none in the /etc/inittab file but it reverences /etc/init/tty.conf. I dont see in there how to control how many mingetty's get started. Where is that? THanks, Jerry

Hi, This is my setting: I have a Logical Volume /dev/VG/suse with Suse installed. I have added it to the grub and I can boot it and works perfectly fine. Now I am running /dev/VG/root which is running Xen0. I have created a Xen config file to boot a VM with disk: /dev/VG/suse. In other words I want to boot /dev/VG/suse as a virtual machine. I've been playing with centos 6. Sometimes it gets into a mode when it "seems" like it hangs at boot. At reboot I hit ALT-D for details and the last thing printed is Starting atd. No I can press alt-f2 to get a login. Doing ps ax does not show a mingetty tty1, What might be going on here. What isn't completing to get a full boot. Thanks, Jerry
