TFTP-HPA beginner needs help
Hello, I am trying to flash new firmware into a router using TFTP-HPA. I am running Ubuntu 14.04 on a flash drive and still learning how to use Linux. I have also installed XINETD.D In one of the README files that comes with TFTP-HPA it said not to call it using tptp. Here are the instructions I'm trying to follow: cd /tmp ; tftp -gl aa 192.168.0.9; sh aa I do not know what

Fax Machines across carrier SIP trunk? General recommendation?
...Business SIP trunk, I'm still used to PRI T1 myself for local service. The fax machines are having some issues (I can use analog phone to call out fine) and I'm checking on modem passthrough with Verizon, but wonder if any else is using Verizon Business for SIP trunk and what your faxing milage was? Did they support G711 and modem-passthough, etc? Also checking QoS, etc. ----------------------------------------- Disclaimer: This e-mail communication and any attachments may contain confidential and privileged information and is for use by the designated addressee(s) named above onl...

KMail
Any hope of KMail (and Kontact) coming to CentOS-7? What exactly is the problem? KMail seems to work on other Linux OS's. -- Timothy Murphy gayleard /at/ eircom.net School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin

...orked just fine. I suppose the real issue would be the system you are planning on installing it in. I think that either of the cards are rather rough on a systems pci bus so faster is better. If you are just wanting to play and experiment I would go with the clone card and see how it works. Your milage may vary, Steve Cayona

STI and foreign_key problem
Hi, I am trying to use STI since my classes only vary by one column in the database. Here is the structure (names have been changed to protect the innocent): Case / \ Registered Initial \ / Children A registered case has additional information than an initial case (I realize I could just set a flag to separate them, but there is a good reason to separate

EFI Reboot Timer
I am working on setting up a global boot server that serves up files across the WAN. I am running into a 5 minute timer that is rebooting my hosts before they can complete the kernel and initrd file download. The servers in questions are HP DL60s, and they use UEFI. I am using syslinux.efi version 6.03. They get the kernel file from the TFTP server in about 2 ? minutes, then get 2 ? more minutes

AOE (Ata over ethernet) troubles on xen 2.0.6
I understand that all work is going into xen3, but I had wanted to note that aoe (drivers/block/aoe) is giving me trouble on xen 2.0.6 (so we can keep and eye on xen3). Specifically I can''t see nor export AOE devices. As a quick background on AOE, it is not IP (not routable, etc), but works with broadcasts and packets to MAC addresses (see http://www.coraid.com). Re: KMail
...hat does not bork up your mail semi regulary. And do not even get me started on that "akonadi" crap. [/rant] Burn me once, .... Burn me twice, ... .... But what do you call a program that destroys your mail more often than once per year? I call that Krashmail / Trashmail. YMMV, but my milage was very short each time I tried since after KDE3. Tried on openSUSE, Fedora, Kubuntu, on all it failed. Text-only mailers like Mutt or Alpine for the win. - Yamaban.

default value for cutoff in gstat variogram()
I wonder what is the default value for the argument 'cutoff' when not specified in the variogram.formula function of gstat. Computing variogram envelops within gstat, I am comparing the results obtained with variog in geoR and variogram in gstat, and it took me a while before understanding that the cutoff default value is not the maximum distance. Can Edzer tell us about it? All the
