rsync is not deleting subdirectories
Hi. I'm having a problem with rsync not deleting subdirectories that exist at the destination but which have been removed/renamed on the source. I'm running 64-bit Arch, rsync 3.0.7, and am trying to back up /home to an external USB drive. Both drives are JFS. Example, where /media/8c4d270d-6139-4fed-8a32-2df8d28acdf3/ is the mount point for the external drive on which a back-up already

Facebooker updates
I just went through and cleaned out most of the bugs and patches. I also added a facebooker.js file that implements enough of prototype to do $() and link_to_remote with :update and remote_form_for with :update Let me know if you run into any issues with it. Facebook Connect
Is anyone planning on using Facebook Connect? I have the implementation that I think covers the user registration. I''m going to work on the UI stuff as well but would love to get some feedback on it. Mike -- Mike Mangino http://www.elevatedrails.com

Reshape into a contingency table/Fisher's test
Dear all, how can I "reshape"/"cast" the following matrix 00;01;10;11 John.Mike;123;313;12;31 John.Jim;54;57;39;36 John.Steve;135;47;47;74 Mike.Jim;63;37;27;16 Mike.Steve;15;15;5;61 Jim.Steve;6;10;34;35 into a set of stacked 2x2 contingency tables 0;1 John;123;12 Mike;313;31 John;54;39 Jim;57;36 John;135;47 Steve;47;16 ... so that the "fisher.test" and

Quotas once again
Its been a while since I tried dovecot on my mail server where I have quota issues. I am using mbox file format. There still seems to be a quota problem. I have only /var with quotas and basedir is under /usr (not quotaed). default_mail_env = mbox:~/mail/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u. I tried with mbox_locks = dotlock fcntl (1st set of logs below) and with mbox_locks = fcntl (2nd set of logs) dotlock:

[LLVMdev] Re: Problems Cross Compiling for x86 and ia64
OK, I noticed a few problems with my previous email, so I will boil the question down: What I want to do is compile for x86 and ia64 from darwin. I also want to load my own passes into opt and llc. Should I be using llvmc at all here, or should I be doing something like llvmgcc -> gccas -> opt -> llc ? I've given up on the filetype=obj argument, so now the problem is that llc is

[LLVMdev] Problems Cross Compiling for x86 and ia64
Hi, I'm having some problems cross-compiling from ppc (OS X) to x86 object files and to ia64, at all. I'd appreciate some advice as to whether or not I'm actually supposed to be able to do this, and what's wrong if so. Here's how I configured it: ../llvm-darcslocal/llvm/configure --with-llvmgccdir=$LLVMGCCDIR --prefix=$HOME/Documents/hpcl/LLVM/install The results work fine

IAX2 * -> * handoff
Hey All, I am setting up a network of Asterisk servers using IAX2. I am wondering if it is possible to disable the handoff feature? At the moment I have 4 asterisk machines, 3 are at SOHO offices and 1 is centrally hosted in a data centre. In addition the central machine has an IAX2 link to a VOIP provider (and might be set up with more in the future). All calls are routed through that

libxml2 RPM via yum?
Hi All, I can't find anything via yum for libxml2. I also, for some reason, can't get to the source page for libxml2 here, http://xmlsoft.org/sources/libxml2/ Is there not an RPM via yum for this? Need it for a dependency for installing PHP from source, which I need to do, for certain reasons. Cheers. Mark.

[LLVMdev] Shared library building problems on Darwin
Hi, a while back I wrote that the llvm makefiles didn't create the correct kind of file for use on darwin with -load. Since then, both the shared library and makefile system have been overhauled significantly. So I checked again - as updated from CVS, the current makefiles don't build the right object type on darwin. If you follow the advice of 'Writing an LLVM Pass" tutorial,

How to keep local profiles when joining domain?
Hi I hope someone can help We currently have Windows XP Professional PCs that logon to an old Novell Netware 3.12 server. We?re just using the standard Windows Netware client, and each user has a Windows XP User account and password that matches their Novell one. When they logon to Windows, they are automatically authenticated to Novell. However, we are now in the final stages of

mike.exe - It used to work.
mike.exe is Counting at Bridge by Mike Lawerence. It used to work as installed by Windows in a Windows partition and started with wine version 0.0.20050310-1.2 as installed from the debian package on a Sarge box with a 2.6.11 kernel. (It wasn't perfect. The card symbols were odd characters but the program ran with no difficulties.) I switched to debian testing with a 2.6.15

Time Synchronisation
Hi. I'm running on a Windows 98 client and an RS6000 with Samba 2.0.7 (latest). I've used "net time \\ibrissde /SET /YES" to sync the times between the two systems ... but if I save a file onto the RS6000 through Samba on a mapped drive the file in UNIX is 1 hour old. I haven't been able to find any help on this so I'm assuming it's a bug !? This was also true

syslog from chrooted environment
I have a somewhat busy sftp server where the users are all chrooted into their home directory. In order to log all the commands they enter, I have to create a /dev/log entry and hard link in their home directory so that syslog works for their commands Match user * ForceCommand internal-sftp -f local1 -l verbose Everything works, but its a bit of a pain if someone restarts syslogd and forgets

Questions on counts by case
Hi all, for the data below I would like to 1. generate a dummy variable for each group "gr" of the same composition by people, then save each portion in a separate file, 2. compute the frequency of "1"'s in "x" for each person by group "gr". So, "mike" will have freq=2/3, as he has two "1" and one "0" in 3 groups.

Fun with permissions
Firstly, hello! :) I've been trying to setup a share with permissions to allow users within the web group to be able to put files up, have full access to their own files but read only access to other users files, I've got what I think should work, but it's not (hence this post). The relevant section of the config is as follows [Common] comment = Common Area writable = yes

new facebooker
Hi guys, I am new to this list and thought i''d say hello. I am using facebooker on a new project and so far I am really pleased with it. I saw that some users are having woes with the url_rewriter breaking urls for paths outside of the facebook canvas (i.e. your site supports both facebook and non-facebook users). I don''t have a prefect answer for this but I wrote a
