problems using smbpasswd to enable/disable workstations trusted accounts
Greetings,
My name is Alceu and I was trying to create some scripts to
enable/disable users when I found this strange behavior with the account
flags:
# please assume that the Unix user is already created
root@midgard:~# smbpasswd -a -m lab16$
Added user lab16$.
root@midgard:~# pdbedit -Lv lab16$
Unix username: lab16$
NT username:
Account Flags: [W ]
...
root@midgard:~# smbpasswd -d lab16$
Disabled user lab16$.
root@midgard:~# pdbedit -Lv lab16$
Unix username: lab16$
NT username:...

Markdown and Wikis
...rently used PmWiki
and I really like it but there are some problems with using
Markdown so I'm interested to see if there is an alternative
that works better for me.
I've looked at wiki matrix and searched for and found the
following list
bitweaver, DekiWiki, DokuWiki, Friki, Instiki, Midgard Wiki,
Oddmuse, Pimki, PmWiki, Socialtext, StikiPad, VQWiki, Wikia and yawiki
Does anyone have any comment on these?
I'm looking for something that :
+ is in active development
+ is mature
Preferable
+ use files for storage
+ have skin/templates

when I browse to my BDC wit \\192.168.1.2\
I get a error saying that I do not have permissions to access this. The
error message also states that the service is not started.
In the BDC smb.conf files I have specified the following

workgroup = midgard
server string = The Web
obey pam restrictions = Yes
passdb backend = ldapsam:ldap://192.168.1.1
passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u
passwd chat = *Enter\snew\sUNIX\spassword:* %n\n

Dell Perc 6 disk geometry problem with RAID5 (both 6.3 final and 7.0 RC1)
Hi,
We bought a new Dell PowerEdge 2950III with Perc 6/i and have the disk
geometry problem using 6.3 final or 7.0 RC1. Seems that we are not alone at
least one guy has similar problem reported earlier:
