Rmpi performance
....000 You can see that using the master it takes 44.168 seconds for computing the function on matrix XX while it takes 71.562 seconds (more time!!!) with the cluster. Can you give us some advice in order to understand why the cluster is slower than the master? question about predict.gam
I'm fitting a Poisson gam model, say model<-gam(a65tm~as.factor(day.week )+as.factor(week)+offset(log(pop65))+s(time,k=10,bs="cr",fx=FALSE,by=NA,m=1),sp=c( 0.001),data=dati1,family=poisson) Currently I've difficulties in obtaining right predictions by using gam.predict function with MGCV package in R version 2.2.1 (see below my syntax).

Building R package with precompiled shared library
...y but when we try to install the package we get ** testing if installed package can be loaded Error in library.dynam(lib, package, package.lib) : shared library 'mylib' not found we cannot understand what's wrong and where R searches for the mylib.so files.
