I have Samba installed on a Debian Sarge distro in my home network. It's not connected to the internet and I'm the only user, so I'm not too concerned about security. My question is can I have Samba authenticate by ip address instead of username and password. I can build libogg and libvorbis and install them as dynamic libraries (by running ./configure, make and then make install). Then oggenc and oggdec will load them in runtime and use them.
