Arc/Info Ungenerate - shp - Maps
Hi list. I would like to know if someone had already successfully loaded and Arc/Info Ungenerated (.dat – extracted from http://rimmer.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/coast/getcoast.html) file on R. I’m able to do so with shape files using maptools functions, but these ungenerated data are making me crazy. I don’t have any of ArcGIS tools (one of them probably can do that), and I can’t find any free tool that converts these .dat (lat, long coordinates) to .shp....

Codec passthrough patch for IAX
Hi there, I had a problem, basically, I have 4 different types of end users (gsm, ilbc, g729, ulaw). However, I only have one user with my DID provider. My provider supports all 4 codecs. The issue is then: When an incoming call comes in, a codec is negotiated (usually ULAW), later on, when the extension is dialed, we'll see we're doing GSM, and thus transcode. Here's an example

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking

FireFly + G729 license
Hello there, I've successfully compiled the G729 DLL for FireFly. However, I'd like to hook up some customers using this, and I'm not sure how I can license it. Everything seems to point to buying thousands of G729 licenses at a time (from Sipro), and the Virbiage site doesn't mention anything. Is there anyone who can sell small quantities (like Digium does for Asterisk) for

Intermediary jitter buffering
Hello, I understand that only the destination of a call should do jitter buffering. So, if IAX2/PhoneA calls IAX2/PhoneB through my server (no transfers), PhoneA and PhoneB need to perform their own jitter buffering, and Asterisk will just forward the frames, correct? What happens if the peer does not support jitter buffering, but is close by so there's no need for jitter buffering? My
