I'm hoping someone can help me to get HLSW v1.3.1 to run in Ubuntu 8.1o with WINE v1.1.18. The install program runs fine but when I go to launch HLSW the program never starts. I'm pretty new to linux so any help will be appreciated.

I am trying to install the Watchtower Library 2010 for my mum. When i try to run the program from the link on the desktop, i get an hourglass icon for a few seconds, then nothing. when i try run it from a terminal, i get a ton of errors about mfc90u. so i tried to install vcrun2008 with winetricks vcrun2008 when i do that i get a pop up dialog saying "could not write to installation log file, check the that the file is not locked" and thats it. i have googled this, but my google-fu is lacking tonight. please help, i need this sort...

...ntdll at address (all zeroes). That actually isn't the whole story. It appears to be using runtime libraries it doesn't supply. I'm also seeing messages about ActiveX, but as the principal function of this tool is as a library lookup, I can hardly see myself going to ActiveX. It wanted mfc90u.dll. I found that; It wanted Microsoft.VC90.crt; I got that. Now it wants VC90.MFC. Does anyone recognize a family of libraries, and what should I install?
