Recode from 2 variables
I am trying to create a new variable which uses the suburb names if HR
and HRRES are the same but which uses HRRES if they are different. Any
assistance would be appreciated as my brain has just packed up. I'm not
sure I can teach myself anymore new tricks this afternoon.

HTB metro/international
Hi all!
I have a problem setting up HTB on my home network.
I have a network: 192.168.1.0/24 and I want to limit the download to 200 KB to
every IP from my city ( I have the IP''s of most ISPs). The thing is that I I
want to limit the international traffic too (I do not use BGP) and set it
to 15 KB. Can someone help with this setup? Thanks!
Best regards,

Simple Question: adding points to a boxplot
I apologize in advance for the simplicity of this question. I use R 2-3 times a year, and I seem to forget more in the intervening months than I learn during my days of panicked reading.... I HAVE tried looking at the help resources; I'm just not very good at understanding them.
I have a dataframe with 18 observations of 5 different things, and a second dataframe with and estimate for those

Question about "generic" USB <=> Serial Port kernel drivers...
OK, I am running CentOS 6 on my Laptop and Desktop, presently kernel version

do an update soon -- non-trivial since my Internet connection is via dialup).

Question regarding HTB
Ok,
So I am from Romania where we have this tiny problem. The IP clases are split in 2: metropolitan and extern (worldwide). We have 2 types of guaranteed band: metro and extern. Now.. the link comes into my gw. I have an IP which my ISP gave it to me which is eth0. I have 2 other PI clasess 194.126.178.0/23. What I want to do is this: make a HTB script which can limit the bandwidth on each PI

Still can't find missing data
I'm trying to prepare some cross tabs, looking at a number of variables against a variable "connector" which has 2 values: "OD Passenger" and " Connector".
When I produce a xtabs one way I have observations under "Connector" but against a different variable "Connector" shows all 0 values.
What is wrong? I've looked into the na commands

How do I get xtabs to show missing data?
I presume the behavior below (no Connector values in the second table)
is because I have na values in my dataframe. How do I get them to list?
I found references to na.action and na.pass, but I could not figure out
how I could use them with xtabs to list the na as a value. I'm sure
there's a simple syntax I need, but it's not obvious to me.

Survey questions
First the R question. I have the results of a rather large survey
(thousands of forms, each with dozens of questions) with some existing
weights and expansion factors. I wish to add additional weighting
factors, based on new information that elements of certain variables
should appear in certain proportions. Where should I look in R to
develop what is essentially an N-dimensional balancing

DID VoIP trunk provider for metro Chicago, LA and/or Orlando.
I am looking for a provider that will provide an equivalent of DID/DOD
trunks via IAX, IAX2 or SIP using numbers in Metro Chicago (prefer
Skokie), LA (prefer West Hollywood or Venice), and/or Orlando (prefer
Winter Garden). If I can migrate some of my existing numbers using LNP,
that would be even better, but it is not a requirement.
While I know that there are several companies that will

data.frame() creates list?
I obviously don't know what I'm doing. I want to create "ByEBNum" as a
data frame, but it comes out as a list. How do I make it a data frame?

> ByEBNum <- data.frame(c(1:12),EBNumStn)
> typeof(EBNumStn)

virtual serveres
I am in the process of building a new machine to replace several older
servers. I am considering running several virtual servers on one box,
all linux for host and virtual machines using VirtualBox.
Is it possible/advisable to configure shorewall on the host to act as a
firewall for the virtual machines, each having one or more static public IP address?
Any pointers, suggestions and/or

SE Michigan asterisk users group
I am thinking of getting an asterisk user group together for either SE
Michigan or just Metro-Detroit.
How much interest in asterisk in Michigan is there on this list?
I am already on the board of glimasoutheast, with is a group for
technology professionals. (very broad range)
It is a spin-off from Automation Alley, which is SE Michigan's version
of Silicone Valley.
