Problem with Metatag update
Hi, first of all, thank you all. The new Icecast version works very well and the new features are great! But I have some troubles with the metatag update via the admininterface. Basically everything works fine, but only WinAmp is displaying the titles correct. Windows Media Player isn't displaying them at all, XMMS only displays them when the ID3 tag changes for about 3 seconds and

MuSE is GPL'ed software. Is that title dynamic (ie: does it change per song to list the song name)? Or is it a one time static thing? Louis --- >8 ---- List archives: http://w...

icecast-2.0-kh34
I run icecast 2.0.0 on freebsd 5.2.1 and an avermedia 206 studio. Briliant :-) Yesterday I gave icecast-2.0-kh34 a try. Starts extrem faster than version 2.0.0 and i could set metatags for ogg. ... but it coredumps every 10 secs. Could i help with maybe a dump or a hand for testing. would be a plesure to me :-) regards Karl-Heinz --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send...

and tell me that it is possible to make icecast broadcast titles or id3 tags. I refuse to believe that you all can talk so fondly of a program that gives you the ability to make a radiostation but not tell its listeners what is on the air.. That is just too weird.. So what do YOU do to tell people what they are listening to? Arvid www.playrec.dk -for all kinds of good music ICQ# 724069 ---

MuSE is GPL'ed software. as long one icecast server can eventually serve more than one radiostation i think there's really no point in complaining about a "missing feature"....

There is a segv bug in kh34 triggered when clients move from one mount to another. That should be fixed now in kh35. The other bits I've done are some tweaks to the YP error handling and made on-demand relays appear on the web interface...

Writing Alpha Tags into the comments of an ogg stream
What do I need to do to incorporate alpha tags into the ogg stream of ices? Alpha Tags are name/frequency tags for a scanner -- I have the alpha tags easily outputted to stdout, but how do I assign each to the comment field of the ogg stream? Just guessing, I'll need to bring in the vorbis/ogg headers/libs and use the lib to write the alpha tag info to the ogg stream. But one question

Trouble getting in icecast Directory
Yes, it is a "vague term" but it should match nonetheless. Is the directory code open source? If so, I don't mind locating the error and proposing a correction. First step is to have other people confirm that they get the same results that I do. On 8/7/2011 4:34 PM, Karl Heyes wrote: > On 07/08/11 04:56, Raymond Lutz wrote: >> Okay, it is working now. RJS - bug I think - caching in development mode
I''ve got a page that has a <div> on it which is updated via RJS. If I add/delete from the <div>, advance to the next page, then use the Back button to return, the updates do not appear unless I Refresh the page. This is in development mode where caching is disabled (I checked development.rb to be sure). I''ve tried expiring the page and that doesn''t help.

how to redirect after sendfile?
Greetings! Is there a way to get RoR to redirect_to another action after doing a sendfile? My little app lets the user enter a bunch of data and then creates an XML file from it. I''m using sendfile to let the user download the XML file. Once they download the file I want to take them to a new view that presents a logout button that will trigger a cleanup. But it looks like RoR

Writing Alpha Tags into the comments of an ogg stream
....xsl?mount=/stream.ogg Probably the best solution for now: My thoughts are to write a ~/.dsctl/metadata and have the *dsctl program output metadata there and the user specify the location of the metadata file. If I can do this without much interruption of streaming with using the kill SIGUSR1, metatags will probably have a change interval of around 1 second. (right?) (*Dsctl is a program used to monitor this device's alpha tags because only analog audio is being piped into the line-in of the sound card.) -- Roger http://www.eskimo.com/~roger/index.html Key fingerprint = 8977 A252 2623 F567...
