preliminary Speex support in Sweep
...the sample files ;) I didn't have any problems working with the library; as I knew the general structure of Ogg, everything else was very well explained in the Speex manual. So far there's decoding and encoding, with a GUI for encoding including all the options speexenc has: http://www.metadecks.org/software/sweep/images/screenshots/tour/speex.png (The only thing really missing is comments/metadata, which I need to catch up on in other formats too :) Here's a source tarball (builds against a *shared* lib of Speex Beta One): http://www.metadecks.org/software/sweep/download/sweep-0...

ov_fopen on win32
Hi, apparently there have been some issues with using ov_fopen() on win32. Does anyone have more information about this? There is no bug listed in trac.xiph.org but it has come up on IRC. Just now a user Xelaie reported "undefined reference to `ov_fopen'", building with gcc in Visual Studio, using vorbis from http://www.xiph.org/downloads/. It turned out that ov_fopen was not

chaining support
Hi, An issue that's been cropping up recently is chaining support. We discussed this a bit at FOMS 2008, and there are some open issues. There was talk of making some skeleton-like metadata that spans chain boundaries (or perhaps putting into skeleton a "chain identifier"). Other things that need to be specced out: * edits vs. playlists: how to distinguish between chains that have
