I am trying to plug a USB 2 device in a USB 3 slot. Nothing is being detected in "lsusb". Is there something special I need to do? I am running centos 5.5 x86_64. I thought 3.0 was backward compatible. Nothing special about my device its an RS232 to USB device. It works in 2.0 slot. Thanks, Jerry

Any one using vnc server on centos 5.1? on 4.6 I had no issue. on 5.1 I am having times when on connetion the VNC serveris crashing and logs me out of all my open'ed items. I can relog in. But I was wondering if others are seeing this and if there is something to do about it. THanks, Jerry

Is there a setting that can be changed that keeps the screen from going black when changing between?

I am trying to mount two shares on Linux box using XP windows machine. Both shares are valid and work independently, but I want both to be connected simultaneously. I am able to connect A but in order to connect B i have disconnect the A connection. Both shares seem to be set up properly and working, just not at the same time. Thanks, Christopher
