outbound IAX calls bog down DSL
Evening,
I've got * asterisk up and running with nufone account for inbound and
outbound calls from the world... everything works quite nicely except that I
noticed last night that when I have a call active from * to nufone, web
surfing on the network slows to a crawl... additionally, I have a VPN tunnel
to another office (using CIPE) and while inter-office (i.e. - SIP to SIP)
calls

Semi-ot: voip provider with 800-service?
Semi-offtopic,
Anyone know of voip providers who can provide tollfree number service?
E.g. route 800-xxx numbers to our * ?
Even better if they are familiar with * or can speak IAX ...

SIP, NAT & Asterisk

beacause I am a newbie in the asterisk ralm and the existing documentation
could not satisfy I'd like to ask you some Questions:
1. Does somewhere in the Internet exist additional documentations for asterisk
configuration ?
2. Does Asterisk work as a standard SIP Proxy ?
3. I am just installing a Asterisk PBX in our institute and additionally I

Unable to create channel of type 'Zap'
I've just installed an X100P, built the kernel module, and tried to use it
to make an outgoing call (via a phone connected to an ATA-186). However, I
