[LLVMdev] pb05 results for current llvm/dragonegg
...2005 benchmark results for current llvm/dragonegg svn
on x86_64-apple-darwin11 built against Xcode 4.3.2 and FSF gcc 4.6.3. The benchmarks
for -msse3 and -msse4 appear identical (at least for degg+optnz). This is fortunate
since there seems to be a bug in -msse4 on 2.33 GHz (T7600) Intel Core 2 Duo Merom

ie6 and outlook
Hi,
I made a Howto for installing IE6, MS Office 2000 and some other apps
with wine-20031212 (all never versions have certain drawbacks).
Everything works fine and I will soon publish this Howto on my site. In
comparison to Crossover there are only two drawbacks with my
installation:
1. When IE6 tries to open a new window it is blank. That means also if
links want to open themselves in a new

CentOS 5 Issues Booting Under VMWare
Hi,
VMWare has been a great tool for me to experiment with CentOS 3 and
CentOS 4. However, I'm running into issues with CentOS 5. First, it
is *extremely* slow to boot (as in it takes over an hour to boot
CentOS 5 on a machine that boots CentOS 3 & 4 in less than one
minute). Then, after an hour of slowly watching the messages go by on
the console and the CPU of the host machine pegged

Centos laptop support
Today I found myself in need of a laptop to run Centos on. And that simple statement led to an all-day odyssey.
My original plan was to purchase a laptop and install Centos 6 on it. I went to Staples and tried booting it on every model of laptop that they had in the store. They all come with Windows 8 installed, and for the edification of anyone who doesn't know this (I didn't until

[LLVMdev] X86TargetLowering::LowerToBT
I'm tracking down an X86 code generation malfeasance regarding BT (bit
test) and I have some questions.
This IR *matches* and then *X86TargetLowering::LowerToBT **is called:*
%and = and i64 %shl, %val * ; (val & (1 << index)) != 0 ; *bit test
with a *register* index
This IR *does not match* and so *X86TargetLowering::LowerToBT **is not
called:*
