?Is there any way to make dovecot to take the passwords from a file with a shadow password format? I've tried with the passwd-file auth plugin, but it complains that users have uid=0 Thanks in advance, Jaime Medrano

Dovecot is faulting on an error about permissions that it shouldn't do. I've got an user with its home dir with permissions 700, and inside the mail directory with the mboxes. In the error log I can see: 'Can't chdir to /home/user. Permission denied' I wonder why it has to chdir to that directory and why it can't access. Shouldn't it be running as the user?

...im trying to install asterisk-oh323 but no matter what linux i use , i allway receibe and error 1 . right now i'm using linux redhat 7.3 and the las version of pwlib and openh323 i really need some help with this , the error i receibe is with cpp0 , with the file size . regards , victor medrano

Hi, I'm currently using SER, and the voicemail system there is not stable, and is lacking IVR. I'm wondering if I could use asterisk as a voicemail system only, where calls will get redirected by ser to asterisk and users will be able to leave a message. Is this setup workable, and have anybody done that ? Thanks. Samy.

Dovecot seems to manage \Recent messages in a weird way. When a STATUS command is performed in a mailbox, then the \Recent flag of its messages disappear and latter STATUS commands report that there are no recent messagges. I don't know exactly the behavior of the RFC. But other imap servers (UW-imapd, Netscape Messenger...) report the same number of recent messages when two STATUS commands

I'm traying to access my Red Hat 8.0 box from windows 2000 professional. I'm using samba 2.2.7a and I can see the linux box on the windows 2000 network , but when I click on it I get the message 'System error 53 can't find the netwok path... can some one help me please I don't have any problem accessing the windows 2000 box from my linux server. I tried both DHCP and fixed IP
