C7 apache file access
Pulling out what little hair I have here, but stumbled onto a possible problem. I have a server running C6 apache that is set up with personal directories and no problem showing the files. You can see it at: medon.htt-consult.com/~rgm/pogo So I have a C7 apache server I am building. Files I create on the new server are listing fine. Files I have copied (with cp -avr ...) get permission error e.g.: [Wed Dec 23 12:32:49.359323 2015] [negotiation:error] [pid 3208] (13)Permission denied: [client 192.168.1...

And mine on medon.htt-consult.com done with Geany. Using a editor that understands html tags so you can collapse ones not being edited does make life simpler. Also lets you know, indirectly, when your copy and pasting messed up the tag pairing.

nc not working as advertised
I can't get nc to do anything worthwhile. In fact I can't even get the examples in the manpage to work. From either my C6 servers or my F17 notebooks. For example: echo -n "GET / HTTP/1.0\r\n\r\n" | nc medon.htt-consult.com 80 Gets no response. And looking into the access.log of medon shows no access by my client. I have tried the client/server on both -4 and -6 on a port I have enabled on my firewall. The server looks to be listening, but the client seems to never connect. what I typed in even...

...I am looking for a low power (this is 10W) x86_64 board that has at least 2 core and 2GB memory. A single LAN port, a few USB and sata (not mSata) that supports a 1TB drive (2.5", 5V is just fine). Oh, and for ~$100 :) Case is not necessary, as I can put it in my rack like these: http://medon.htt-consult.com/~rgm/cubieboard/cubietower-3.JPG (goal is to replace that SFF to the left). It looks like Qotom might have one. It is a bit challenging to figure out which units have what. thanks for any pointers.

Problems with my simple write conf files method
I have been creating conf files and similar with the following method that I picked up (I think from psotfix docs): cat <<EOF>>/etc/aliases || exit 1 root: youremail EOF See: http://medon.htt-consult.com/Centos7-armv7.html But with postfixadmin I stumbled onto a problem. The following: cat <<EOF>/usr/share/postfixadmin/config.local.php || exit 1 <?php $CONF['database_type'] = 'mysqli'; $CONF['database_user'] = 'postfix'; $CONF['data...

Trouble setting up dovecot/postfix/mysql with virtual mailboxes..
Hi, I?m building a new linux box to replace my current DNS/Mail server for my SOHO. I was going to set up postfix/dovecot/mysql so I can support virtual users. I also use Webmin to make admin easier. I ran in to a couple of snags. When I first got it set up, mail went to the virtmail user and I could use my Mac mail client to read the mail. Everything was working when testing it. I was
