samba-tool ldapcmp attribute order
Hi List,
I successfully added a new schema to my DCs a couple of weeks ago (and
didn't do anything with it yet.) Today I wanted to edit the schema some
more but found the samba-tool ldapcmp command and ran it between my two DCs:

WinXP Printing issue
Greetings!
I'm running Samba 2.2.5 on HP-UX 10.20.
I've recently started adding WinXP clients to my network. Here's my
issue:
I installed a WinXP machine on the network. I was able to add a
bunch of samba-networked printers to the Xp machine.
I recently added 2 new printers to the network. I added the printer
names to my samba "printcap" file. I'm able to

...f quantiles of myData, and I would like to display the quantiles used (e.g. "0.8 0.85 0.9 0.95") instead of the actual values of these quantiles, since this is easier to relate to for a viewer. This information is accessible in myData in a variable, "qnt".
I've tried meddling around with "axis", "label" and "at" in scales=list(), but i've been unable to make it happen.
Can anyone shed some light? Preferably in a short, generic example.
Thanks in advance,
Thor

Win 2000 & XP Printer problem
I'm running Samba 2.2.5 on HP-UX 10.20.

Access to virtualization on a multi-user system
Hi libvirt-users,
I find myself wanting to do something that seems like it must have some
obvious solution: I have multiple users (let's just assume local Unix
accounts) on a Linux system, and I want them all to have access to
KVM-accelerated virtualization. But, I don't want them to be able to
meddle with each other's virtual machines. Is there a solution to this
problem?

Changing the centos name on boot
I have changed most of the things, the grub, issues. Since I run a minimal,
I dont really have a gnome login screen, all text based (no GUI). The only
place I am not able to trace is the booting time screen. Please do see an

Changing the centos name on boot
I am kinda getting a tweaked distrubution with CentOS, So this is kinda
rebranding. I am not trying to change the hostname, trying to change the
System OS name in the on boot screen.
I have changed the grub configuration file and it reflects in the Boot OS
selection screen, login screen. But only in the on boot screen does it not
reflect. My search led me to something called plymouth, and the

controllers, models and views in plugins
Hello all,
Is it possible to package controllers, models and views in a plugin? The
tutorials for plugins seem rather sparse at the moment...
I''ve written a form "widget" that I''ve been using as a partial that I would
like to reuse in other projects. I was thinking about making a component
out of it, but I need to be able to access some of the form data that it

Textures Twiddling/Swizzling
Thanks for the last info it was truely helpful.
Anyways, I'm currently trying to implement 3D textures into yuzu, as far as
I know they are twiddled in a different manner to 2D textures. Could one of
you guys point me in the right direction? I've been meddling around:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/tree/src/gallium/drivers/nouveau/nv50/nv50_tex.c
but I can't see where the swizzling actualy takes place.

...My understanding, not saying
that's how it's designed or intended.)
This follows the packaging pattern that every unique setting goes in its
own file. You don't disturb or risk breaking other settings when you add
a new setting, and you can separately package these settings without
meddling with central files.

glm(quasipoisson) with non-integer response
Hi,
I have count data that have been meddled with enough to make them non
integers. Using glm(poisson) returns a "non integer" error but
glm(quasipoisson) does not. Just wondering if anyone knows if I am
violating the assumptions of a quasipoisson error structure by using
these non-integer response data?
Thanks! I'd welcome your thoughts and/or references...

Win 2000 & XP Printer problem RESOLUTION
In case anyone was interested... this turned out to be a Super
BONEHEAD problem....
My printer name was "testron".
Well... come to find out, I have a share with the same name.
Imagine that.
Just an FYI to those new to samba... can't have printer & share names
the same.

unix exts / wide links / symlinks
Hi!
How can I let recent smbd versions let unix clients access and resolve 'wide'
symlinks locally? My goal is that clients may use any kind of symlink (internal
and external to a mounted share) like on any other unix-style file system
without smbd interfering.
My understanding is that since version 3.4.6, smbd effectively denies access of
clients to 'wide' symlinks, i.e. out of

Anti-virus for use in para-virtualized Xen
I''ve been looking at anti-virus software for Xen use on Linux systems,
on both Dom0 and DomU, in industrial environments. Reviewing
documentation on various packages seems to show that all the commercial
ones insist on sticking kernel modules into a limited set of standard
known kernels. This of course creates some serious risks until the
anti-virus packages are developed in and

XP & 2000 Printer problem
I'm having a problem with my XP & 2000 pc's, with printers.
During the initial installation and configuration of these machines,
everything is fine. But any printer added to the network AFTER the
initial config of the winXP & win2000 pc's, isn't available to these
machines.
So... if I add any printers to my network, I can't use them with my

be essentially in place at this time.
There is a "grand feature" freeze (minor tweaks can be applied,
but no wholesale restructuring or API changes). Notice that
wrapping a package in a namespace is a grand feature, and so is
meddling with the event loop.
Package maintainers should start adapting to any changes in base.
Start making R-1.8.0alpha.tgz packages automatically available.

Install problems (group permissions) with nut 2.7.2
I am attempting to do a from-scratch install of nut into openSUSE 13.1 so I can document the steps a customer will need to follow to make nut work with our UPS. I'm running into the problem I have always run into, which is permissions.
I have created the user "ups" and the group "nut" and made ups a member of that group.
I executed: ./configure --with-user=ups

Speex 1.2 beta2 Win32 tools binaries
Hello speex development team!
As I see on http://www.speex.org/downloads/ page,
where is no Windows binaries for speex encoder and decoder tools for
1.2beta2 version since no maintainer for it yet.
Well, I compiled it from the sources using MSYS environment and MinGW
tools (GCC version is 3.4.5).
Both libOgg-1.1.3 and speex-1.2beta2 were configured as

RPM upgrade question
I upgraded my samba package on my RedHat 6.1 installation via RPM. I used
the samba-2.0.7-20000425.i386.rpm file. I had to first uninstall the
packages:
samba-common-2.0.5a-12
samba-client-2.0.5a-12
because of package dependencies. I'm guessing, then, that the
samba-2.0.7-20000425 package includes the files that had been included
separately with the common and client packages. Is this
