Best authentication option
...on the 192.168.0.100 address (address of the server on the local network). I want to use squirrelmail to read my email from outside. Squirrelmail can configured to access it in particular, either through cram-md5 or login auths. In that situation, is it better (I mean more secure) to use : 1) auth mechanim = cram-md5 or 2) auth mechanism = plain (using PAM authentication for dovecot) ? That will determine my dovecot configuration. Thank you Eric

LV resize encrypted volume
Hi, dom0: Debian Lenny 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64, domU: same. Xen 3.2-1 After resizing a LV on dom0, Xen is not reporting the new extended size to the PV domU even though dom0 is well aware of the new size. I''ve rebooted domU (not dom0 yet as that''s running a lot of other domU''s). The LV I tried to resize is encrypted. Resizing unencrypted volumes works as expected. dom0:~#

chain to another pxelinux server?
...to have an entry in the menu on localTftpServer that would allow me to chain to the menu system on 'globalTftpServer' I have experimented with the ALTERNATE TFTP SERVER mechanism described in pxelinux.doc. I observe that it allows me to pull a bootstrap from another tftp server. Using this mechanim, I can successfully load pxelinux.0 from globalTftpServer. However, it does not have the desired results. pxelinux uses PXE_GET_CACHED_INFO to get the DHCP packet to find out where the tftp server is and what file to boot. So, I can load a new pxelinux.0 from globalTftpServer, but it still uses th...

tc questions
Hi to all of you!!! I am a Computer Science student trying to do the pre-grade thesis. I am trying to develop a free software tool to help administrators to control the traffic. Right now this tool is based on tc and iptables. I am having some problems trying to understand tc and tc examples: - Why in almost every list of tc rules based on htb class, there is a "tc qdisc dev ... root ...
