Not accepting nil values in fields when CREATING a record
...s_line_2.nil?
[...]
end
But it''s ugly.
Plus, I realise that passing "nil" is a nice way NOT to specify every
single value when you update a record.
So... to expand my previous question, is there a way to prevent nil
values when an object is CREATED, but then allow them (which measn
"don''t touch whatever is there") when it''s updated?
Am I missing something very obvious? :-D

Support for SLES9
Support for SLES9 seems to be pretty much lacking at the moment.
The OCFS2 site [1] states OCFS2 is supported with SP2+. There actually
does not exist a SP2+ for SLES9 (or should this rather read "will be
supported in SP3" instead?).
Latest RPMs that come with SLES9 SP2 are 0.99.14 which has critical known
bugs and is unusable.
Anybody got to compile current source on SLES9 x86_64?

It is the same David.
It measn we have no intention of fixing applications to properly know
what to do with and how to handle these devices.
If you hide these objects, we are basically giving up on fixing the
tools and or the drivers themselves to be architected differently
(see #2 above).

error in random forest
Hi,
I get the following error when I try to predict the probabilities of a
test sample:
Error in predict.randomForest(fit.EBA.OM.rf.50, x.OM, type = "prob") :
New factor levels not present in the training data
I have about 630 predictor variables in the dataset x.OM (25 factor
variables and the remaining are continuous variables). Any ideas on
how to trace it?

can join a domain, but users are not able to log in
...gain....
But if I try to login with a user account from a client it rejects me
with a (german) message
"Das System kann sie nicht bei dieser Dom?ne anmelden, da das
Computerkonto des Systems in seiner prim?ren Dom?ne fehlt, oder das
Kennwort f?r dieses Computerkonto falsch ist."
That measns (more or less) "The system could not log on you the domain
since the machine account of the system is missing in it's private
domain or the password of the machine account is wrong."
