My first real submission with Phabricator
I am ready to submit my first real submission for review with Phabricator. Please forgive my meager knowledge of Git. I did a 'git diff' to generate the diff file. The contents look good. However, there is one new file, a TableGen test file. How do I get that file included in the diff, or otherwise included in the submission?

Syslinux 3.83 released
Hi all, I have just released Syslinux 3.83. Special thanks to my employer, Intel, for letting me spend time on this. It is somewhat of a meager release despite four months, as most of the work has gone into the future-work branches. -hpa Changes in 3.83: * PXELINUX: clear memory before handing over to a chainloaded NBP. This may help avoid a bug in Windows RIS. * PXELINUX: fix localboot after NBP chainloading...

v3.0.0, AD, 2k3 mumbles
I'm running a Samba 3.0.0 server in production in security = ADS mode against a W2k ADS server. Works just fine, thanks! We're sort of under pressure to regrade to a 2003 AD server, which sent me trying stuff out a bit. Meager results. The 3.0.0 I have (linked with MIT krb5-1.2.8) refuses to verify incoming tickets: [2003/10/28 16:27:36, 3] libads/kerberos_verify.c:ads_verify_ticket(317) ads_verify_ticket: krb5_rd_req with auth failed (Bad encryption type) Some frantic googling later it is clear that Windows -re...

Xen/AoE skb frag array incompatibility
...the way Xen uses it. This causes new AoE block devices to fail to be accessible among potentially other problems. Is anyone aware of this problem? It is not clear to me if it is a problem with Xen or if the fault lies in AoE. I have looked into it a bit but my kernel hacking talents are rather meager. Attached is a recent email from the AoE list discussing it. If you have any suggestions for the AoE folks they can be reached over at aoetools-discuss@lists.sourceforge.net -- Tracy R Reed http://ultraviolet.org A: Because we read from top to bottom, left to right Q: Why shou...

Data management problem: convert text string to matrix of 0's and 1's
I have a data management problem which exceeds my meager R programming skills and would greatly appreciate suggestions on how to proceed? The data consists of a series of observation periods. Specific behaviors are recorded for each time period in the order each is observed. Their are 8 possible behaviors, coded as "i" "c" &quot...

Mongrel and http 1.1 OPTIONS keyword
Hello. I just seen some errors in my mongrel application log: It seems related to the httpd OPTIONS keyword Example: Processing LoginController#login (for .30.5.208 at 2007-12-10 09:00:23) [OPTIONS] and our ruby application does not know what to do with it. and finally send an error Does mongrel (which is the http server) is supposed to deal with these kind of request ? I think these

[LLVMdev] Should LLVM JIT default to lazy or non-lazy?
...point out that it seems that most of the people new to the JIT are surprised by the current behavior, where as those who would be surprised by needing to enable lazy JIT are those long familiar with past behavior. In the OSS world, I always favor easing adoption over maintaining the status quo. [LLVMdev] Should LLVM JIT default to lazy or non-lazy?
In r85295, in response to the discussion at http://llvm.org/PR5184 (Lazy JIT ain't thread-safe), I changed the default JIT from lazy to non-lazy. It has since come to my attention that this may have been the wrong change, so I wanted to ask you guys. A couple reasons to make the default non-lazy compilation: * The lack of thread-safety surprises new users * Crashes due to this will be rare

I''m also interested in testers that are running Bering even if they aren''t interested in Fireparse because I want to be sure that ash and the meager toolset on Bering doesn''t throw up over the new code. Archival quality encoding.
I'm looking to encode my meager (200+) CD collection as soon as I get a nice, big hard drive to store it all. I was considering using LAME with '-V 1 -h' to get high quality encodes at about 180-200kbps, but obviously I'd like to go for a free(libre/lucre) format. I realize that, in principle, vorbis can encode at...

Win XP Client with Samba AD - Mapping Shares
I'm having issues having WinXP client access shares on my Samba domain. The user account can authenticate to the network using a Win10 client. The win10 client maps the users drives and allows access properly. The WinXP client can join the domain & the user can login on the machine in question. However, attempting to map a drive using "net use" results in an error about an

sshd problems openssh3.4p1 on 6.5.17
Greetings, I have run into a rather bizarre problem that is beyond my meager skills to debug so I am turning to the collective wisdom of this list. Here are the facts: 2 SGI machines (alpha running IRIX 6.5.15 & beta running 6.5.14) running openssh-3.4p1. ssh was built on each machine using the same configuration and were working fine. I upgraded the OS on alpha...
