[LLVMdev] Possible missed optimization on function calling?
...ng code could be improved a little bit further. If the optimization is too tricky for the compiler or something and it's done this way by design forgive me, but in any case i just wanted to point it out. Consider the following C code: extern int mcos(int a); extern int msin(int a); extern int mdiv(int a, int b); int foo(int a, int b) { int a4 = mdiv(mcos(a), msin(b)); return a4; } I noticed this while testing it for the backend i'm currently developing, but it produces exactly the same code for other targets: march = msp430: push.w r11 push.w r10 push.w r9...

Rounding fractional numbers to nearest fraction
Hi all, I've got a matrix of fractional data that is all positive and greater than zero that I would like to "loosely" classify, for lack of a better word. It looks something like this : 1.07 1.11 1.27 1.59 0.97 0.76 2.23 0.98 0.71 0.88 1.19 1.02 What I'm looking for is a way to round these numbers to the nearest 0.25, i.e. the above matrix would be

PWGL in wine, problems
Hello, I'm new on this list. First of all, thank you to all the developers of this great project! At the moment there is only an application that keeps me on both macos and windows, its name is PWGL a free environment for computer assisted composition in openGL. (http://www2.siba.fi/PWGL/) I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 and wine 0.9.59. I have to say that I also installed vcrun2005 and

[LLVMdev] Register Pairing
...llocator is able to handle or support this type of constraint? As a follow up to my previous email, the following code is a real example of what i was explaining, Lang this example is exactly why i need the constraints and how to combine instructions. typedef short t; extern t mcos(t a); extern t mdiv(t a, t b); t foo(t a, t b) { short p1 = mcos(b); short p2 = mcos(a); return mdiv(p1&p2, p1^p2); } This C code produces: ; a<- r25:r24 b<--r23:r22 mov r18, r24 mov r19, r25 <-- can be combined into a movw r19:r18, r25:r24 mov r25, r23 mov r24,...

[LLVMdev] Register Pairing
Jeff thanks for those suggestions, that's exactly what i would like to do, however i dont know how to do it with my current knowledge :\ As far as i understand patterns only take one instruction as an input (while the pattern you wrote before takes two) and also, i dont know how to handle register copying (COPY) in the .td file because they're handled in a different way to the rest of

[RFC PATCH 0/5] stabilize kepler reclocking
this series solves different issues we encounter on kepler cards while reclocking: 1. core clock doesn't change at all and produces a volting error (patch 1) this can happen when the voltage table has only 0ed values in the header so we have to parse the entries itself, which contain the right voltages 2. kepler won't clock to highest cstates (patch 2) this happens, because there are

[PATCH v2 0/3] drm/gk20a: support for reclocking
Second version of the gk20a clock patches. I have tried to keep the therm and volt devices mandatory in the clock driver, but unfortunately they are too tied to bios to allow this, at least for the moment. Consequently this version is mostly a port of the first version to Ben's tree. Ben, please let me know what I have done wrong in terms of integration to your tree, as the main purpose of

[PATCH 0/3] drm/gk20a: support for reclocking
This series adds support for reclocking on GK20A. The first two patches touch the clock subsystem to allow GK20A to operate, by making the presence of the thermal and voltage devices optional, and allowing pstates to be provided directly instead of being probed using the BIOS (which Tegra does not have). The last patch adds the GK20A clock device. Arguably the clock can be seen as a stripped-down
