Embedded Cross-Compiling of OpenSSL & OpenSSH
...ll be running on a powerpc chip. I can get everything to work but the size is quite large. The majority of my size requirements are in libcrypto.a which is around 1.52 Megs I tried to pare it down further by removing some crypto options [ Configure linux-ppc no-asm no-cast no-des no-dh no-md2 no-mdc2 no-rc2 no-rc4 no-rc5 shared ] This got me to 1.35 Megs. I've read on other lists that stripping the library is bad news, but a modest debug strip doesn't seem to affect functionality and takes me down to 800 K. Any ideas on how I can get libcrypto smaller? Thanks, Gordon Fischer Advent...

slight irritation using digest (from the ports)
Hello Folks! For a special application I needed to create digests (or hashes) using the whirlpool algorithem. It was kind of hard to find something that actually did that. But I found digest in the ports tree - ok, with some help from someone who seemed to know what to look for. :-) What irritates me is the Wikipedia-page on Whirlpool: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whirlpool_%28algorithm%29

Dovecot SSL issue on Solaris 10 x64 (64-bit)
I'm having an issue with Thunderbird (and Opera) and Dovecot SSL on a Solaris 10. My OS is Solaris 10 6/06 x86 (running in 64-bit mode) using ZFS (disk mirror) as the filesystem for my users. Dovecot version is 1.0rc7 (logs below are from 1.0rc6). First the connection asks if the SSL-certificate should be accepted, accepting it seems to work but then nothing happens. Thunderbird is
