Event.stopObserving and anonymous functions
...f other observers for other areas of the page that would all have
to be re-created.
Is there a way around this (keeping the 'observers' as anonymous
functions), or a better way to approach this?
(Why do these things always crop up the night before The Big Demo?)

Effect.moveTo??
I cant seem to find an effect to move an element to a given XY position
new Effect.Move(''elid'',{x:10, y:10});
Will move the element 10px down and 10px to the right, but I want to
move my element to 10px from the top left corner of the page.
I know I could find the current position, and do the math to find out
how far to move it, but is there already a built in function in

script.aculo.us AutoComplete Woes
I was wondering if someone could help me with an autocomplete problem. I
have the autocomplete div receiving a <UL> that looks like:
<ul>
<li>Name<br>Email</li>
</ul>
When the user hits enter and the value is filled into the text field
it''s putting both the name and email in the field. I just want the name.
Funny this works in Firefox but not IE. I

Performance Issues with Autocompleter
Hi All,
I am currently using script.aculo.us and Autocompleter for a project which I
am dealing now. I
faced a situation for which I couldnt find any solution and I could not see
any reference
regarding this issue in the enhancement/bug lists of script.aculo.us either.
Autocompleter component is working perfectly, if the information returned
from the server
does not exceed ~1000 LIs.

Browser inconsistencies when using Effect.MoveBy()

If you want the whole list draggable as one entity, you make one
draggable. If you want each item draggable on their own, you need to
make each one a new draggable.

reloading fragments of pages
Hello,
I have a treeview, that works with scriptaculous in order to load the nodes
dynamically.
I also have in the main part of the page, a table with the list of elements.
The lists of elements can be drag-dropped on the treeview in order to move
them around
(they are also draggable on other parts of the page)
I need though, to refresh the treeview to reflect changes when a folder was
moved
