Is there a built-in way of detecting fax tones, or a switch to T.38 on a SIP channel? I need to periodically check some efax servers for availability and figured the best way to ensure they are operational is to check for tones. I've looked into Nvdetect but the company seems to have gone out of business and I don't want to be stuck with a solution that won't make it through an upgrade

I have an existing conference bridge running on Asterisk 1.4.2 using MeetMe and it's been pretty much rock solid since it was installed. We do around 460,000 minutes on it monthly and peak at about 150 simultaneous sip channels.
