--cuesheet include the full cue sheet or just the seekponints?
Dear list
Sorry to ask a user's question on developer list. I didn't find the user
list.
I am experimenting with --cuesheet and encoded a flac file with a
cuesheet. Result is:
* Totem on opensuse 10.2 opens the flac file with no meta data, no
play list. "Next" button doesn't work;
* Mplayer on opensuse 10.2 opens the flac file with no meta data,

compute Mcdonald's omega ω
Dear all
I am a newbie to R and I would appreciate it very much if someone can
give me some advice on this.
Please note that I am not a programmer so some of the questions might
sound really stupid.
I would like to compute McDonald's omega calculation using R, I'm
aware I can use the omega function in the psych package.
But I'm really not sure how to do it.
I have read these two

Testing Help
Hi,
I am wondering if you may be able to help me.
I have an application that has been developed by a third party and is being
used in some field locations. My challenge is that I have no way of
independently testing the product across the WAN at this point. All
testing they have proposed required manual intervention and subjective
analysis. I am not comfortable deploying the solution in this

SSH Logging
Hi,
I'd like to be able to log file transfers to/from an SSH server
(both through scp and sftp-server).
Perhaps I'm not looking in the right places, but I don't see a
way of doing this in the current code. The "scponly" shell goes
some (small) way towards doing this, however, it logs patterns
rather than filenames in scp transfers. I have even less success
with sftp.

Changing expired Samba AD password during Windows login
Hi, thanks for your help. Your suggestion makes sense, however I think there should be some way for users to be able to change an expired password from login dialogue.
Actually I had a problem doing this previously with NT4 style Samba domain and never looked into a resolution.
Now that I've found Samba does AD style domain, I'm excited to use it in several customer locations.

mongrel and long lived connections
Hi,
I found this article
http://cyll.org/blog/tech/2006-08-09-themongrelcomet.html on mongrel
and COMET very interesting.
I ran the code, and it worked just as Christopher explained. The one
thing I don''t understand is why mongrel can only handle 1 connection
at a time. I thought that mongrel used a thread per connection.
It appears that each registered handler can only handle 1

Mapping to BigDecimals instead of Floats
Hi everyone,
I''m new to Rails and Ruby, and have been working my way through the Pickaxe
and Agile Rails books for the last week or so. With a background in payroll
apps I found that the default ActiveRecord mapping of decimal columns to
float variables really bothered me! Financial calcs need high levels of
accuracy and floats just don''t give you that.
I know there are a bunch

Changing expired Samba AD password during Windows login
I'm running a Samba AD 4.7.4 and cannot set a new password for a user
with an expired password during login from a Windows PC. Changing a
password from inside a login with cntl-alt-del "change password" works ok.
I've already decreased the minimum password age to 0

Using Samba AD for NFSV4 Kerberos servers and clients
Thanks Luc,
First, can I just use the small /etc/krb5.conf suggested in Samba AD
docs or do I need something more substantial on the server & client for
Kerberos NFS to work?
[libdefaults]
default_realm = SUBDOMAIN.DOMAIN.COM
dns_lookup_realm = false
dns_lookup_kdc = true
I understand a /etc/krb5.keytab file has to be created on both server &
client. Most

Another Tar stopper
Well, I have been busy getting child #4 off on her way to college
(joining #2). So now it is quite with just the 2 youngest and I can get
work done again!.
tar stops as follows:
/root/.nautilus/metafiles/x-nautilus-desktop:%2F%2F52F.xml
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.
I thought perhaps this is some file locked becuase I was running from a
terminal session in gnome.
So I

Two email accounts writing to one nfs shared home directory
I use dovecot as a local imap server on my desktop machine due to the
fact that my workplace only support POP3. I use fetchmail to pop,
postfix to deliver, and dovecot for client access. At present I have a
single email account which is the same as my system login and have
postfix and dovecot setup to use ~/Maildir. The home directories on our
system are served from a central file system, using

how to use set_primary_key?
We are trying to use set_primary_key to cause an existing rails db to
use a different primary key. This works find for accessing existing
data, but gives an error when we try to add a new record, as it seems
to still be accessing the record by the default id field at that
point. Are there other changes we need to make to get an alternate
primary key working?
Thanks,

Capture of loopback interface messages
Hi,
I am new to DTrace.
Want to capture (for specific port #s) the loopback interface (lo0) tcp message flow with the complete message body.
Is this possible with DTrace?
Are any examples available?
Thanks,
Joe

Finishing up the contributors list as well
Guys,
OK, now that we have the new core contributors squared away, we
can go back to finishing the contributors list.
There were some people who got added and then there is existing
contributors list. I think Darren''s suggestion to wait to add new
core contributors is fine (let the new constitution settle down
and we can in the meanwhile have a more inclusive look at both

mann whitney u
Dear Sir,
I am comparing two samples using wilcox.test in R. Literature appears to describe mann whitney u test as the most appropriate test to use on my data.
is the wilcox.test function equivalent to mann-whitney u? Is there a way to gain the U-value as apposed to the W-value in R?
Thank you

ProLiant DL3n0 EMT64 - x86_64 or i686
Guys,
I'll be building a couple of DL360 G4p & DL380 G4 boxes soon and I've
not dealt extensively (i.e. at all) with any PC stuff that hasn't been
i386. I know the DL line pretty well but it was all G2/3.
So, question is, do I stick CentOS i386 or x86_64 on them? 2 boxes x
2GB RAM and 1 x 4GB, all SMP.
Will.
