Xen Live Migration
I''m a little confused as to what I''ve found regarding Live Migration. Is it true that there is a central file system accessible to both hosts and that all that is transferred is the current MEMORY contents of the domain? If this is true, is there no way to physically transfer the domain file system from one host to another? Thanks. -Andrew

SIP over VPN -- no audio to other remote/VPN connected phones
Hello, I am having a problem with my current SIP over VPN setup. We have a server running asterisk at our office. All the phones in the office are on the same network / local to this server. We also have two employees with home offices using SIP phones over VPN to connect to the asterisk server. Wine and the serial port
I have an application that talks to hardware via the serial port. (Actually, it talks to a lot of hardware, banking peripherals). The app runs on both Win32 and OS/2. Of course, the main theme is porting the thing natively to linux (and I'm working on that). But just for fun I tried to get it to work with WINE, and while the "device emulation" works perfectly (much to my

Re: COMCTL32: fix for dreamweaver's site dialog
...he about dialog. I've been putting off upgrading - hoping that they will release a native Linux version or that someone will create something comparable. As of yet, I haven't seen any HTML authoring package that comes close... particularly in the area of templates and such. -J Mike McCormack wrote: > > ChangeLog: > <aric@codeweavers.com> > Fix for dreamweaver site definition dialog. Yet Another Call for Installer Bugs...
Thanks to James Hawkins and Mike McCormack, loads of progress has been made in fixing installer bugs lately, but there are probably many such bugs hiding in plain view still. It would be very helpful if people could look for installer bugs which: a) appear to be MSI or setupapi related, and b) aren't already in bugzilla (see http://bugs...

Reference for dataset colon (package survival)
Dear R team, dear Prof. Therneau, library(survival) data(colon) ?colon gives me only a very rudimentary source (only a name). Is there a possibility to get a reference to the clinical trial these data are taken from? Many thanks in advance. With best wishes, Matthias Gondan --

Problems with serial comm
Hi! I'm new to this list as well to Wine, so please excuse me if I'm asking a FAQ. Today I installed wine-20011108, especially to be able to run programs I need for my work. One of them is a remote front panel to the measuring instrument, which communicates with it using a modem connection. This program cannot establish a connection. It accesses the modem, its LEDs blink, but no

C7 basic install, HATE
I've got an old server, that I'm *trying* to rebuild from C6. Our regular key, with the kickstarts, etc, simply won't boot. Just a blank screen, and it never goes anywhere. So I'm trying to build it from a year-old regular installer. 100% of the time, the graphical screen is screwed. Resolution's so big that I cannot see the right-hand 10% or 15% of the screen. There

wine serial support
Hi, I use wine to run a terminal emulator (NetTerm). It connects to a Linux Server (it was meant to run from windows) that runs a commerce software. This Linux commerce software sends the terminal emulator escape codes to interface with a "ticket" printer attached to a serial port. The reason to go thru all this problem is that the printer has a proprietary, closed source driver for

Analyzing java class loading with dtrace
Hi there, I am trying to diagnose a performance problem on a Sun T5120 running Solaris 10. I see general poor performance using Java and, in particular, loading classes. I have developed a simple java test that loads all of the classes in a Crystal Reports JAR file (around 7000 classes) which takes much longer on the T5120 (40 secs) than on a Core 2 Duo windows PC (5 secs). I recognise that this
