bwlpot problems: printing, and tick labels
Two problems with the code below.
A. It produces empty JPEGs. When the 'bwplot' line alone is submitted, the
plot duly shows up.
B. When the 'bwplot' line alone is submitted, y labels are values 1 to 6,
not actual distinct values of y$maxthreads.
(C. I would, of course, prefer to produce plots for all distinct values of
x$maxthreads in a single swoop, on a single figure).
Can anyone help?
Thank you.

yum-fastestmirror inconsistent exclude behavior

To illustrate:

However, when I run yum, this is what I get:

7970 CTLFile.tlv?
I've got a Cisco 7970 that's not completing its network registration to
Asterisk. The "Registering" message stays on the screen (with the moving
time wheel). After a few minutes, the onscreen message flashes "Updating
CTL" then "Loading...", then the status messages update with:
No valid CAPF server
File Not Found: CTLFile.tlv
No CTL installed

There is no special tuning in loader.conf (except I tried to limit ZFS
ARC to 8GB lately, which doesn't change a lot). sysctl.conf has:
kern.ipc.maxsockbuf=33554432
net.inet.tcp.sendspace=8388608
net.inet.tcp.recvspace=8388608
kern.maxfiles=64000
vfs.nfsd.maxthreads=254
Without the first three zfs+ggate goes bad after a short time (checksum
errors, stall), the latter are mainly for NFS and some regular local
cleanup stuff.
The machines have 4 em and 2 igb network interfaces. 3 of the are
dedicated links (with no switches) to the ggate servers, one is a...

xorriso or genisoimage syntax assistance
I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of
your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition
live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out.
The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am
quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate
