I try to compile samba 2.0.7 with SFIO libray on solaris 2.7 platform
I modify two variables in Samba Makefile
LIBS=/aar/masson/NOT_SAVED/sfio/lib/libstdio.a
/aar/masson/NOT_SAVED/sfio/src/li
b/sfio/libsfio.a -lsec -lgen -lsocket -lnsl -ldl
to add sfio's libraries

Stack corruption in newhidups.c

I run a FreeBSD box with stack-protector enabled, which raises a problem
in the upsdrv_initups() function of the newhidups.c module; the
regex_array variable is sized one item too small.

I am setting up a standalone server (Debian 10, Samba 4.9.5+dfsg-5 from
Debian). The following directory is shared and contains two directories:

I'm facing problems as I'm installing NUT to monitor a MGE Ellipse
ASR600USBS on a FreeBSD 6.1 box.
UPS is recognized as :
ugen0: MGE UPS SYSTEMS ELLIPSE, rev 1.10/42.41, addr 2
I'm temporarily using root profile (devfs/devd scripts not modified atm).
newhidups starts & runs fine (unplugging mains makes newhidups outputs
lots of data when started with -DDDD flags)

If you not having a "regular" setup, you might need to change/add things in
/etc/idmap.conf and /etc/krb5.conf
