Experiences with Samba 3 in 'Windows Server 2003' mode domains?
I have a RedHat ES3 with Samba 3 joined in a 'Windows 2000 Mixed Mode'
domain running on Win 2003 DCs; everything works perfectly fine - accounts
and groups all come from the DC through winbind and users can access the
shares with their kerberos ticket without having to re-authenticate.
Now, will all this still work if I switch to the "Windows Server 2003"
domain mode or are

Joining Domain on Solaris, Get_Pwnam_internals didn't find user
Hi
I am running samba 3.0.22 on Solaris 10 x86, using a Sun Directory
Server as ldapsam backend. The samba schema used is the recent version
from .22, and I am using the IDEALX smbldap-tools 0.9.2.
I split users, computers and groups into 3 different OUs and configured
samba, smbldap-tools and Solaris ldapclient respectively.
smb.conf:
ldap suffix = dc=new10,dc=com
ldap user suffix =

Problem with aliased interface
Hello!
I have a problem using shorewall on an aliased interface. Let me give
you a short description of the setup:
eth0 uses DHCP and will be assigned a 10.38.0.0/16 address by my ISP;
I use a host-route to access their PPTP on 10.0.0.138 with "pptp 10.0.0.138"
ppp0 is the Internetconnection then (duh)
At the same time I want to connect the box to my LAN using 10.1.0.0/16
