RFC: Introducing an LLVM Community Code of Conduct
..... :D race: last time I checked, we're all members of the same race, homo sapiens sapiens. national origin vs. immigration status: the former is already covered by "culture" for everything that matters, the latter is very specific to one culture. social "class": this is too Marxist*, we should use "social status", since everything is blurred nowadays. family status: really?! sexual orientation vs. sex vs gender identity and expression: what?! size: really? is this the PC version of "weight"? * I don't mean "socialist", nor "communist&qu...

Hello all, I have a server with dovecot installed with imap and tls working (call that the remote server). Now I want to have a few computers at the same place to access the same account on the remote server. ...ts. Last years, a stress has been put on parts of the open source community to submit to an agenda that is not technologically or academically motivated, but instead is "socially" motivated. What I see is that normally this ""social"" agenda reduces to the cultural-marxist social control trick of coercing people to comply with "the values", where "the values" may appear well-intended and "just" through being codified in some written form, but in reality are arbitrary and actually function as a control tool for parties that are not really...

Virtual users - what is better Maildir or mbox?
Hi, I'm trying to configure a server to use SAMBA and Winbind to authenticate to Active Directory.... I managed to get this portion up and running even the Dovecot portion. For reference something similar to this guide: http://www.whitneytechnologies.com/?p=119 However PAM is slightly different: # cat /etc/pam.d/dovecot auth sufficient pam_krb5.so no_user_check validate account

Help: I need community delegates
Hi all, I''m very happy to see how quickly the Puppet community is growing and how pleasant and helpful everyone is. It seems like people are starting to handle a lot of the questions on the email lists and IRC, which is great because it means I can focus more on development and planning. There are a few areas that don''t seem to be meeting the community needs, though,

a nasty kernel oops
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been trying to sort out a nasty kernel oops for which I would like to ask for some advice. I don't actually think that this is a nut problem, although it is triggered by upsdrvctl or usbhid-ups. I rather suspect the USB library or the associated kernel code. Here is the configuration information: * system: Centos-5.5 * kernel: 2.6.18-194.32.1.el5, latest vanilla

RFC: Introducing an LLVM Community Code of Conduct
Greetings everyone, On behalf of the board of the LLVM Foundation, I’d like to start the process of introducing a formal code of conduct for the community. For a long time, various members of the community have been enforcing basic reasonable and respectful behavior, but to an outsider this may not be obvious. A public code of conduct advertises the behavior we expect of community members and
