The gem is called "blackbook" and basically it will go and fetch your contacts from the major webmail providers. So far Gmail, Yahoo!, and MSN have been completed. We are trying to finish up with fetching contacts from AOL Webmail. However

Best practice - polymorphic or not
...-type will probably also need either a enumeration or a matchfact-x-type model (where x is each matchfact-type (example of types can be: Red,Yellow card-types). This is to limit the different data beeing entered into model, but still make it dynamic and changeable by web-admin not database-admin. /MartOn --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Error With Kernel Module IPFILTER
I've found out from two different kernel configs that after properly compling kernel with IPFILTER support it causes the system not to boot. Its hard to say, what exactly it does, cause its not a local system. _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to

HTB latency
Hi list, playing around with HTB showed that it may introduces pretty much latency for our setup. Docum.org says the following: "The default qdisc added to a htb class is pfifo_fast qdisc. The size of the qdisc is the device queue length and this is 100 packets for an ethernet device. So if you want to have a shorter queue, you have to add a shorter qdisc to the htb qdisc." Can

tc show error for ingress
Hi, I am trying to do both ingress and egress bandwidth management on a bridge. eth0 is the WAN interface. IPTraf shows that the following script is running successfully and it limits bandwidth both ways to 256 KB However when I want to see the statistics using tc - it only shows me stats for htb class and not for ingress class. The tc output is as follows: tc -s -d class show dev eth0 class

Dynamically setting the image directory used by attachment_fu
It took me a while to figure this out and I don''t see any wiki pages for attachment_fu so I figure I would just post this here. I didn''t like the way attachment_fu by default creates directories under a given directory for a specific class e.g. item_image/1/img_1.jpg item_image/1/img_1_thumb.jpg item_image/2/img_2.jpg item_image/2/img_2_thumb.jpg item_image/3/img_3.jpg

please test: Secure ports tree updating
CVSup is slow, insecure, and a memory hog. However, until now it's been the only option for keeping an up-to-date ports tree, and (thanks to all of the recent work on vuxml and portaudit) it has become quite obvious that keeping an up-to-date ports tree is very important. To provide a secure, lightweight, and fast alternative to CVSup, I've written portsnap. As the name suggests, this
