CentOS 7 regression, can not take a KVM qcow2, convert it and boot it on ESXi...
Guys, I have a Packer build procedure, that works like a charm, when with CentOS 6.7. Exemplifying: 1- Packer (with virtio disk) + QEmu + CentOS 6.7 ISO; 2- Create a RAW image; 3- Convert the RAW image into QCOW2 for KVM hypervisors (okay); 4- Convert the RAW image into VMDK for ESXi hypervisors (okay). However, when doing the very same procedure, with CentOS 7.2 ISO, it does not boot

Single source repo, producing packages for CentOS 6 and 7, how?
Guys, I have a source code here, that produces RPM packages for CentOS 6, that includes an Upstart Job and a ugly and minimal Init Script. Now, I have it running on CentOS 7, via systemd, looks good! However, my RPM package for CentOS 7 still includes the useless Upstart and Init Scripts... So, here is the question: How are you guys managing this? I mean, I would like to have 1 single

Command "make prep-kernels" not cloning Linux - xen-4.1.0 sources.
Hi! I compiled the xen-4.0.1 in Linux (Ubuntu 10.04), but as usually, the xen-4.1.0 is not behaving in a manner similar to the previous version. Am I required from version xen-4.1.0, transfer the kernel via the command "git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jeremy/xen.gitlinux-2.6-xen" from now? I mean, the "make prep-kernels" command of the xen-4.1.0 no

Xen 4.0 memory overcommitment
Hello, I am running a functional Xen 4.0 platform. The objective is the project I am currently running is to replace 4 VMWare ESX by 4 Xen 4.0 hypervisors. I have been able to reproduce all the core VMWare features in Xen (but better of course =D) except memory overcommitment. I know this feature has been included since Xen 3.3 but I have found almost no information about it. When I try to

W2k8 "DNS Manager" doesn't work anymore...
Hey guys, Since the deployment, in production, of my brand new `Samba4 AC DC` (Ubuntu 14.04.1), I was using regularly the "Windows 2008 R2 Enteprise" (also brand new installation - no I.E. installed) software called "DNS Manager", to manage my `Samba4 + Bind9` couple but, since today, out of nothing, the "DNS Manager" does not work anymore, I'm seeing the

samba versions as ad dc
Will a samba 4.1.9 work fine if there are newer samba 4.x AD DC in the domain? I compiled samba 4.1.9 from source on ubuntu 14 server. Now I am wondering if I can use the debian backports repo and get whatever samba is current there --is is amba 4.1.11 ? Not sure if its worth it to compile samba for each of my addc's, or if I can be lazy and use the deb from a repo. Would love

Samba4 AC DC Ready! But "W2k8 R2" doesn't join...
Hey guys! This is my first message to this list... I'm must say that I'm very impressed with Samba4! It is an amazing project! Nice job!! Last time I used Samba was back in 1998~2000... But, I got a new job that is forcing me to remove 3 Windows Servers with AD, by Samba4. So, I just deployed Samba4 on top of Ubuntu 14.04, it have Bind9, IPv6, a Secondary DC with replication, everything

Feature Request: Ability to join a IPv4-Only DC, into a Dual-Stacked "Samba4 AC DC" PDC.
Hey guys! To make the adoption of IPv6 networks with Samba4 more smooth / robust, I think that it is vital to give to Samba4, the ability for it, to join a IPv4-Only Secondary DC, into a Dual-Stacked Primary DC. This doesn't work today. Otherwise, these days to enable IPv6 within a "Samba4 AC DC" network, it is a requirement to enable it, simultaneously, on each and every network
