* marriage and women
On May 11, 2003, in New Delhi, a greedy groom and
his parents demanded more dowry at the most vulnerable
moment. When hundreds of guests are enjoying the
function and wedding ceremonies were moments away.
But the durgaa in the bride Nisha Sharma a...

home from SQL
...ly I'm using
user_query = SELECT 1000 AS uid, 1000 AS gid, '/srv/vmail/%2.256Hu/%Lu' AS home, ...
so I'm hashing based on %u (basically). But in my SQL db I have a
"unique_identifier" field, which never changes, even when the user is
changing his/her email address (due to marriage or the like).
What I'd really like to do is to use %u to find the value of the
unique_identifier field, hash THAT value and use "AS home". But how?
That way I can rename users without shuffling directories around the
filesystem.

Problems with sorting of search results
...e sorting of search results ..
strangely enough, the sorting is fine on my mac
development environment, but not okay on my
linux live system.
I got a field in my index called hierarchy. It
contains long strings like:
Living together > Family > Brother-In-Law
Living together > Family > Marriage > Wife
Language and Communication > Language > Language Family > Finnish
Now i want the results to be sorted by that
hierarchy field, but it seems to be sorted
randomly .. i tried both :sort => "hierarchy"
as well as
:sort => SortField.new(:hierarchy, :type => :str...

CDR writing incorrect data to pgsql tables
Hi,
I have postgresql and * all up and running as the latest cvs-250205,
although something weird.
Every outgoing call regardless of whether or not it is answered or busy
or just rings out in the database the entry has the disposition as
ANSWERED, instead of BUSY or NOT ANSWERED.
As a test I intentionally rang numbers that would be busy or wouldn't be
there to answer the call.

All the four lights blinking
HelloI have the following system
Asterisk 1.6.1dahdi 2.2.0.2
TE420P card
Centos
I have noticed that all the four lights are blinking(ie coming red and then
off so on)...
Previously I also noted that when dahdi drivers are not installed lights
blink but one by one in sequence(like in marriage cermonies :P) and after
dahdi installation lights get off ... but this time all at same time
(blinking)
Is this a problem ??

Creating panel data
I'm new to R.
I am trying to create panel data with a slight alteration from a typical
dataset.
At present, I have data on a few hundred people with the dates of
occurrences for several events (like marriage and employment). The dates are
in year/quarter format, so 68.0 equals the 1st quarter of 1968 and 68.25
equals the 2nd quarter of 1968. If the event never occurred, 0 is recorded
for the Year Of Occurrence. Somewhat redundantly, I also have separate
dichotomous variables indicating wh...

But the cost of Mr. Montgomery's three-year effort has been high. It has

New Postfix + Dovecot + OpenLDAP + Jamm + SASL + TLS HOWTO
All,
That's a lot of plusses, but if anyone is interested in how I managed
to get all these packages working together, I just posted this HOWTO
to: http://wanderingbarque.com/mailserver.html
The Postfix - Dovecot - OpenLDAP marriage is nothing new, the twist is
integrating these packages with Jamm, a web-based interface for
creating a managing virtual domains and users.

How do I install in .wine/drive-c/program files?
I'm still a Newbie to Linux but have been climbing the learning curve for a year - now running LinuxMint 5 (Elyssa) and have installed Wine 1.0.0 which is in /usr/bin with about 20 associated files.
Now I am trying to install a database configured for Windows - a CD of Sussex Marriages. This is displayed under LinuxMint as a list of files, libraries and an executable - which doesn't run - I thought it would be the installer. But this CD is itself used to run under Windows. Should I simply copy the executable file to .wine/drive_c/Program Files? Or the whole CD? The executab...

Is there any in the list who deployed in this scenario successfully.
Kindly elaborate
