Running VMware ESXi network installer via syslinux/menu
Hello, So I'm running syslinux.efi Which loads menu.c32 Which is supposed to start ESXi's bootx64.efi/mboot.efi But that gives """ Loading mboot.efi... ok Invalid Boot signature 0x2, bailing out Booting kernel failed: Bad file number """ Secure boot is disabled. Thoughts? The reason why it would be nice using PXE and syslinux here is because we have

clustering and load balancing Apache
...any tools in CenOs which comes default in it? And how do I do apache load balancing? should I rely on apache forums or mailing list or is there any way or tool I can use in CentOS? Can any throw some vague Idea on how to do it so that I start reading documents before I do it? Thanks and regards Marky -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Re: nazi spam in German over list address
It is mostly the Sober.Q worm, a new Sober variant that has come out that is causing all of the trouble. Been getting quite a bit at work but it has all been tagged as spam. Samba takes some time to wake up...
Subject: Samba takes some time to wake up.... Hi folks, We are using Samba-2.0. with RedHat 5.2 on a PII-350MHz and RAID SCSI HD as a domain-logon-server. The clients are Win 95 Pentium PCs connected by ethernet. The problem is: Samba takes a long time, i.e. 1 min, to let the first user log on in the morning. After that the response times are reasonable.

Samba crashes on password change from Windows 2000 clients
Hi, i'm not subscribed to the list so could you please Cc back to me :) Just discovered this problem today when my brother tried to change his password. Windows sat there and eventually said that my domain couldn't be found or something, this seemed very odd so I had a look in the logs and got this show up... Missing files on Windows client side.
In a directory with approximately 6000 files, several files are missing on the Windows side. If I check the directory on Unix (AIX) they are all there. As far as I can see there's nothing strange with this files en I can't see any connection between the missing files. It looks like it's randomly. A few examples of missing files: FAKTREF.10062005.16 (See debug information)

Zaptel problem on BSD
I have some lines outside the USA that I can't get to for up-close testing. The issue is that when I make an outbound call on these lines, I don't get answer indication until 20 seconds into the call. Asterisk always thinks the line is answered, even if it's still ringing or busy. On incoming calls the opposite is true, Asterisk doesn't know the line has been hung up by the

one-way IAX trunking
Two asterisk servers, one running a recent HEAD, the other 1.0.9. I have both ends set up with trunk=yes, notransfer=yes, type=friend. I notice that the trunking works from HEAD to 1.0.9 only (the direction in which calls are originated). I know this by bandwidth usage and by iax2 trunk debug. I did have to use trunktimestamps=no on the HEAD end to keep it quiet. I assume this is the new
